The new Scott E-Spark 710 Plus bike is built entirely on Shimano XT for trail riding, with a 130mm Fox travel chassis, trail components & lightweight build. Focused on your experienced trail biker who wants to take on a full day's ride - Longer, Harder & Faster for 2017!
When good design pays off: stylishly integrated, SCOTT’s design is both slim and manages to include a bottle cage mount... - E-Mountain Bike Magazine
Scott have developed a whole new breed of electric mountain bike, for 2017 fully integrating the new eMTB specific Shimano Steps system into one truly capable eBike!
When combined with Scott's exclusive TwinLoc system this means for one very well equipped 710 Plus trail eBike!
The new Scott Spark's offer a tighter trail geometry and lower centre of gravity due to the new Shimano battery integration.
Scott have fitted a Custom Fox EVO Kashima coated rear shock to the E-Spark 710 eBike which offers 3 modes of lockout including Scott's special 'traction control' setting. The Fox Evo shock also has full air adjust-ability and rebound damping controls. Inverted in the frame for optimum traction and minimal 'Pedal Bobbing'.
Interestingly, Scott also allow the user 2 stages for the shock to operate. The quick chip on the rear linkage can be flipped to the riders liking, offering a low & high BB setting depending on the terrain - offering full control on the 2017 Scott E-Spark electric bikes.
The Scott E-Spark 710 Plus is equipped with Shimano's new 11 speed eBike drive train. The 2017 XT setup offers a huge range of gearing from 11 to 46 teeth at the rear. So you have excellent ratios for both climbing and flying back down the trails.
Couple this setup with the new Shimano XT hydraulic disc brakes. These offer a superior feel with servo pistons in the lever and wide pads down in the caliper. Allowing or stopping even under the more extreme eBike circumstances.
The full Shimano XT set up from brakes and gears gives a clean cut overall spec with matchmaker components.
For 2017 the wheels are built using Shimano front & rear hubs. These are laced onto strong yet lightweight Syncros X40 40mm wide 27.5+ alloy disc specific trail eBike rims.
The E-Spark 710 Plus 2017 eBike is offered up with a combination of Maxxis Minion tyre up front & a Rekon tyre at the rear. The wider 2.8" offering decent grip levels for cornering on the front wheel, while maintaining a fast rolling rear to keep you tight through the trails.
Don't forget these are extra wide and suck up a lot more of the bumps. Also due to the wider tyre and dual compound construction, these eBike tyres offer superior levels of grip over standard width tyres without compromising rolling resistance.
The Spark 710 has the Elite set of Fox 34 forks over the basic set for increased stability and lower weight of the entry model.
This adjustment is normally adjusted down on the forks / shock itself, but Scott have an exclusive remote TwinLoc lever design for the E-Spark 2017, mounted up on the handlebars.
Scott have even managed to squeeze in a Fox Transfer remote dropper post into the price, meaning there's nothing at all you need to change on this eBike, just stick on a decent set of pedals and ride!
The Scott E-Spark 710 Plus is a great contender, with full Shimano XT 11 sped drive train & XT brakes to match. The spec on this bike is very good indeed. Want fully integrated Shimano XTR Di2 electronic shifting and up-rated spec? Check out the E-Spark 700 TUNED!
