The Cube Kathmandu model line is always one of our most popular and highly sought after Touring/Hybrid eBikes, proving itself the "must have" and "one for all" solution for riders looking for an eBike that can cope with the daily inner city commute with as much ease as it does on trails, canal paths, fire roads and long distance touring.

A name now synonymous with total two wheeled freedom with a highly regarded and ultra rugged frame, built in pannier rack, mudguards and neatly integrated front and rear lights, the new 2023 Cube Kathmandu Hybrid One returns with Bosch's latest Generation 4 CX motor and a brand new 750Wh battery for those extra long rides, or when the bike will be run in Turbo mode for extended periods.

Big upgrades for the 2023 model year...

Cube's new 2023 Kathmandu Hybrid One 750 although the entry level model, is offered with the latest Bosch Gen 4 Performance CX motor, but now includes their new 750Wh PowerTube battery and Intuvia 100 controller. You can read all about the new Bosch Smart System in our Blog Post covering it.

With a relaxed, comfortable and very much "upright" geometry and style, the Kathmandu Hybrid One builds confidence in new eBike riders with its predictable but direct handling. The 2023 Cube Kathmandu Hybrid One is available in Crossbar, Trapeze (Uni) and Easy Entry (Step through) frame styles.

Speed and versatility.

The 2023 Cube Kathmandu Hybrid One 750 is one of the most rugged, versatile and powerful hybrid bikes on the market and the introduction of the new Bosch Smart system for 2022 was quickly taken advantage of by Cube on this new model and carries on into 2023.

Whether you want to nip to the shops or tour across Europe, the Kathmandu Hybrid One 750 has everything you need but your luggage, straight from the box.

Cube Kathmandu Hybrid One 750 2024 Crossbar Shimano Deore Gears

Brakes & Gears

Shimano BR-MT200 levers and calipers, paired with 180mm rotors at the front and back of the bike offer exceptional bite and great modulation, making them a great choice for a variety of terrain and riding styles.

Hydraulic brakes are now very much standard on top quality ebikes, taking just a small amount of pressure to generate a stronger stopping force.

The 2023 Cube Kathmandu Hybrid One 750 eBike is equipped with Shimano's Deore M4120 10-speed rear derailleur.

With an 11-42 tooth cassette, and Shimano's Shadow+ technology the 2023 Cube Kathmandu now offers increased climbing ability over previous entry level models, bringing top level componentry to their lower priced bikes. The shifting is highly responsive and very crisp.

Cube Kathmandu Hybrid One 750 2024 Shimano MT200 Hydraulic Brakes

Hydraulic brakes are not just powerful, but almost mainteance free and even brake pad changes can be easily compeleted by a novice with the most basic of tools.

Cube Kathmandu Hybrid One 750 2024 Shimano Rear Derailleur

10 speed gearing systems are very common on Touring/Hybrid style bikes, although the Kathmandu Hybrid One takes is a step further with wider than normal ratios. Unparrelled climbing, without limiting top end speed.

Cube Kathmandu Hybrid One 750 2024 Shimano Trigger Shifters

Shimano Rapid-Fire plus shifters offer positive, crisp gear shifts on all terrain types.

Wheels & Tyres

Cube have used their own factory EX23 rims on the Kathmandu for 2023 with Shimano hubs and 700c rims. The 23mm wide rims offer the ability to fit a wide choice of tyres.

The 2023 Kathmandu Hybrid One 750 comes with with the very popular and large volume Big Ben tyres from Schwalbe. These fast rolling tyres offer superbly low rolling resistance on paved roads, and the extra width and grip needed for gravel, forest tracks and tow paths and can be found on a huge number of Cube leisure bike range.

The bottom line..

Having had an almost total frame redesign in the last model year, the 2023 Cube Kathmandu Hybrid One takes much of its frame features and design from the previous years top two models, with fully internal routing for all cables and double-welded frame seams for a sleek, smooth finish to the frame often only found on much higher specification eBikes. The new Bosch 750Wh PowerTube battery has been mounted inside the frame to further protect it and enhance the frames aesthetics.

The 2023 Cube Kathmandu Hybrid One 750 features the newest and most powerful Bosch eBike drive system yet and is one of very few bikes on the market in its category to use the latest Generation 4 Performance CX motor - normally reserved for the top end mountain bikes which require significantly more power. With its 750Wh battery, this Cube eBike will once again be popular with those looking for a versatile every day commuter bike, but also those who spend their weekends off the tarmac. Keenly priced with a well thought out spec, this is a "one-bike-does-it-all" winner from Cube.

"WOULD RECOMMEND"

We've just purchased our 4th Cube Kathmandu e-bike from e-bikeshop.co.uk and would recommend them as being friendly, knowledgeable and easy to do business with. I raised a minor issue about the supplied pedals which was dealt with promptly and efficiently.

(Cube) One for the road

Excellent service from e-bikeshop, bought one day, arrived the next. Terrific.
I cannot agree with an earlier comment about setting up, the manual is comprehensive but, being in several languages, you have to wade through it to reach the English versions. I have now marked all the English sections which makes life very much easier. I did have a query about range and emailed the store to then, almost immediately, had a call-back in which my fears were allayed.
Although not been ridden much, yet, the bicycle moves smoothly so I look forward to some lengthy rides.

Good quality e cycle.

So far I have no issues with the bike,it seems well made and very robust.I have only ridden it for a few days and not covered a lot of miles but I have put it through its paces on some steep hills in devon and it performed very well.
The only criticism I have is with the cabling runs at the handlebar end. They seem very messy and untidy but that is only cosmetics but it does detract from an otherwise good looking bike.Apart from that it would have got 5 * rating

Great bike but awful user manual

Love the bike - like a moped on 'auto' but bettery usesupreally fast, eco setting is excellent if you just need a helping hand up hills.
The documentation that comes with it is deplorable - incredibly badly laid out and, strangely from Germany, really difficult to use.
Initial set-up instructions are entirely absent. Grrr.

So great bike (yay) but nightmare to set-up and understand all elements (boo).
