The 2022 Haibike Trekking 4 eBike is one of the mid-range models in the Haibike trekking range for 2022 built with the new Yamaha PW-TE motor system and 500Wh InTube battery mounted in the frame.
Designed for road and light path use, it features the large volume "balloon" style tyres for comfort and comes equipped with essentials like lights, mudguards, pannier rack and a side stand.
Popular with leisure and commuters alike, this fast bike rolls well on roads and the hybrid tyre also takes well to light forest trails and gravel tracks. It also comes in three different frame variants, to account for all types of rider, and all levels of accessibility.

Features
Featuring the Yamaha PW-TE motor system, LCD "Side Switch" control buttons and the internal battery design within the frame, the new 2022 Haibike Trekking 4 is a great value contender for those just starting out in the world of electric biking, or looking to go further.
Wheels & Tyres
The 2022 Haibike Trekking 4 uses 27.5" (650B) wheels, optimising the benefits of both 26" & 29" wheels and combining them into one fast rolling, easy to manoeuvre wheel size.
Fitted with Continental Contact Urban tyres, the broader tyre profile absorbs rough terrain better and allows for more grip whilst maintaining a fast rolling resistance on the road.
The Suntour front forks have a quick release wheel mounting, making wheel removal very simpler and much easier on those who need to get the bike into the back of a car.
This is the same for the rear wheel too, allowing the bike to fit into even a modest hatchback.
Brakes & Gears
Haibike have opted for the Alhonga HT474 hydraulic disc brakes. These are powerful and relatively maintenance free. Simple to use and easy to pull, they offer reach adjust so riders with bigger or smaller hands can adjust where the lever sits.
The gear system on the Trekking 4 is provided by Shimano for 2022. The Shimano Altus 9-speed rear mech provides plenty of gearing to the rider for a mix of ascending and descending.
The gears are controlled by a simple handlebar trigger that selects the gear up and down while pedalling to the riders preference.
Hydraulic brakes are the minimum we expect at e-Bikeshop and even on the entry level models, Haibike dont dissapoint.
Shimano Altus 9 speed gearing is simple to use and offers a great ratio range for leisure riding.
Shimano Altus shifters are smooth, easy to use and require little effort to quickly zip between gears.

Haibike Trekking models are always popular with riders looking for a bike to cover a mix of town/city, commuting and leisure riding, with everything needed available "straight out of the box".
The Haibike Trekking 4 eBike is equipped with all the essentials including front/rear lights (Powered by the Yamaha eBike system itself), mudguards, a rear rack & side stand. Considering all of this and the German build quality, it's a well priced bike of this spec!
Power
The 2022 Haibike Trekking 4 features the latest 2022 Yamaha PW-TE drive system. This Yamaha motor has a built in quad sensor which applies assistance in a even more efficient and smooth way. It makes the PW-TE the perfect all rounder for different riding styles.
The assistance is offered in 4 levels - 'Eco+', 'Eco', 'Standard' & 'High'. Now also featuring the Automatic Support Mode which selects the right amount of riding assistance based on the terrain.
This allows the user to fine tune the amount of assistance required during the ride offering complete flexibility and control. The Trekking 4 2022 eBike uses the 500Wh in-tube battery so it's completely concealed within the frame, but can be charged in the frame or removed easily for charging too.
The new LCD display mounted on the handlebars, shows not just how much capacity the battery holds but also the predicted range in assisted miles. Offered with a lightweight and compact charger.

The Yamaha Side Switch display is backlit, easy to read and even easier to use.
60Nm of assistance from the Yamaha PW-TE motor is available from the first stroke of the pedal and it great to hill starts.
The Yamaha 500Wh InTube battery offers up to 140 miles of assisted riding and will return reasonable miles even in higher power modes.

This electric bikes includes a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics and 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims via our dedicated support in-house.
E-Bikeshop is a UK Electric Bike Service Center and our in-house workshop is exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We have time to support the eBikes we sell.

We generally keep over 150 eBikes built in our showroom. Note: Some models shown as 'Pre-Order' may not be in the showroom to view as the bike is still due from the supplier. We can also give you the opportunity to ride a similar electric bike so you can get a feel for how electric bikes work prior to purchase.
Should you wish to purchase, we give the option to take it away that same day (subject to stock) with any extras fitted and a handover session on the bike itself by one of our eBike experts.

For delivery on 'Pre-Order' items, the estimated arrival date is shown at the point of order. On arrival our team will make contact to settle any outstanding balance. Once settled in full, we'll then proceed to dispatch your new eBike without delay.

I've used the recently purchased a Haibike Trekking over the summer and it has been superb. Using both for commuting and leisure, after finding my conventional road bike a bit of a struggle in rush hour traffic and my age kicking in on the hills! Overall though a great investment both for convenience and cycling longevity, thoroughly recommended!
