Who is this bike suitable for?
The new Cube Stereo Hybrid 140 HPC SL 2020 is built around every day trail biking, be it single track, cross country or all mountain. Newly designed for 2020 with Bosch's latest Gen 4 Performance CX motor, a carbon frame and larger 29" wheelset, the Stereo 140 models are a capable bike for aggressive trail riding and fast descending, ensuring a playful ride that'll handle a wide range of terrain.
I was skeptical I could ascend a local very steep hill sitting down but I did and in torrentially wet conditions. The ability to have traction and ‘accelerate’ through hairpin bends whilst ascending is unique, as is the lower center of gravity which feel much safer and more controlled on steeper descents. All in all it is an amazing piece of kit.
New Features
A trail spec and travel bike with PowerTube Bosch 625Wh and Performance CX motor. We welcome the Stereo 140 HPC SL.
Equipped with the 2020 Fox Float DPS EVOL rear shock, which offers 3-Way adjustable lockout and air compression. You can also adjust the rebound damping externally.
With the Dual Piston System, the rider can lock out, ride fully open, or select the mid stage mode to conserve energy, whilst still providing cushioning under pressure.
It's also air pressure adjustable depending on the riders weight. At the front Cube have equipped the new Fox 34 Rhythm Fork with the 2-Position GRIP Damper.
This new damper offers a more simplified closed cartridge system than the FIT4 used in other Fox forks. Closed cartridge allows for fox to keep a much more consistent feel compared to open dampers which are usually cheaper to manufacture.
Brand New Carbon Frame
For 2020 Cube's engineering team have come through with a brand new carbon frame. Not only is the whole frame set much lighter, but it features seamless (weld-free) lines from start to finish. Not to mention the full internal cable routing.
The Cube Stereo Hybrid Bosch powered eBikes are the most economically priced full suspension carbon eMTB's on the market.
Much like Fox's Performance and Factory forks, the Rhythms fork progression can still be adjusted with volume spacers to fine tune the fork to rider preference.
Cube have spec'd the Stereo 140 HPC SL 2020 with Shimano XT hydraulic disc brakes, using the M8120 four pot caliper up front and the M8100 two pot on the rear for high modulation and power. These are paired with 203mm rotors for excellent initial bite early in the lever stroke, whilst the XT levers offer easy tool free reach adjustment.
You can be sure they'll stop you as quickly as you accelerate on this eBike. Minimal maintenance and fuss. Aside from changing the brake pads from time to time you can fit & forget.
The Cube Stereo 140 2020 grips the trail with 2.6" Schwalbe Hans Dampf tires. An Addix soft compound is supplied up front with a Speedgrip rear for all round grip whilst helping to keep rolling resistance low.
The 29" tyres give a wide footprint, allowing for running of lower tire pressures to offer superb cushioning & all round trail comfort.
Cube have used their own factory rims onto the Stereo 140 for 2020 with Shimano boost hubs and 29" rims. These 30mm wide rims offer an excellent tire profile for wider tires.
Cube has designed the Stereo 140 HPC SL to be thoroughly up to date for 2020, with internal routing for all cables including for Cube's own stealth dropper.
The new 625wh Bosch PowerTube battery is neatly integrated into the frame using Cubes Modular Battery System, which is designed to securely hold the battery keeping it rattle free. The batteries locking assembly is hidden underneath the impact resistant cover to avoid dirt ingress into the locking assembly.
The Cube Stereo 140 HPC SL 2020 features the brand new Shimano XT 12-Speed drive train.
This Groupset uses the Shimano Micro Spline freehub body, which allows for a smaller 10t sprocket with their new wide range cassettes.
With a whopping 10-51t setup you'll be sure there's no climb or descent you cant tackle!
Shimano ShadowPlus ensures a stable drivetrain even in rough terrain, offering precise and quiet shifting.

Bosch CX & Kiox eBike System
The new Cube Stereo 140 HPC SL 625 2020 eBike features the new Gen 4 Bosch Performance CX crank drive motor, so you can be sure it's fitted with the latest kit & setup for optimum performance.
The 250w CX system outputs 75Nm of torque & peaks at 500w! It certainly packs a punch, it will also offer up to 340% assistance in turbo mode. Featuring 4 levels of assistance & remember you can always turn the power off and ride it as a normal bike! In addition, the new eMTB mode allows the user to set in one assistance mode and the system itself will determine the assistance offered.
The Stereo 140 features new 'PowerTube' Bosch 625Wh battery technology for 2020. Completely integrated into the frame, Cube have neatly designed it so it can be charged both on & off the bike.
The 2020 Bosch Kiox display is neat & compact with a super crisp resolution LCD display screen. The Bosch Kiox display offers all the rider credentials in a neat and easy to read user interface. Riders can see important factors like speed, distance and battery range on the screen. The newly designed 2019 control buttons, sit to the left of the bars to allow scrolling of this screen.

This electric bike comes fully set-up by our workshop technicians. You can be sure that every aspect of the eBike has been dialled in for optimum performance. All our electric bikes arrive with a user manual, keys, charger & free follow up service within 3 months.
Our electric bikes also include a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics & 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims in-house. We can also offer worldwide support for customers further afield using a laptop or PC connected to the internet, combined with our diagnostic equipment.
E-bikeshop is a UK Bosch Electric Bike Service Center and our in house workshop is now exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We also have parts / spares to hand should they be required.
