Bosch eBikes are common place in the electric bike community. In fact, the majority of our electric bikes are Bosch powered. Therefore it's important we hold a good range of spares should you ever need to replace a component. Remember it's important to select the correct component for your eBike as the Bosch range of components is split into a range of different systems.
A Bosch authorised dealer has access to the full back-catalogue of parts and spares from Bosch and can obtain almost any Bosch component produced on their ebikes, going back as far as ten years in most cases. This also includes any upgrades, where customers want to up grade their display, batteries and other components (where compatible), even on older bikes. Its worth noting however that with very small margins to be made on small parts, most dealers will only special order parts for their own customers. Although we hold hundreds of parts in our warehouse for Bosch systems, items which need to be specially ordered is something we can only do for our own eBike customers.
Some components are only made in small numbers, are for bikes which being very old are becoming harder to support or in the case of brand new to market items, are only available to us in limited numbers initially. In these cases, we will lock the parts for access by our own eBike customers only. This is also to protect us from becoming the "one stop shop" for eBike support in the UK. While outwardly this sounds like a good business opportunity, unfortunately many dealers are happy to sell bikes, but don't want the cost of having to offer help, support or invest in the parts and spares to support them. Sadly we cannot support all Bosch ebike riders in the UK and so we have to with hold some of these components to ensure we can meet our high service standard with those who have invested in a bike with us before the customers of other businesses.
