Who is this bike suitable for?
With 120mm of travel and the latest Bosch eBike system, the new Lapierre Overvolt HT 500 electric bike is a great all rounder for general Trail Center / XC / General everyday use.
The Lapierre Overvolt eMTB takes on its own breed of performance electric mountain biking.
Received the Lapierre Overvolt today. Delighted with it - fabulous piece of kit from first impressions and can't wait to give it a long test. And top marks for e-bike shop - I ordered it on Monday, they prepped it to my specification & I got it first thing on Wednesday morning. Very impressed so far.
New Features
The new Lapierre Overvolt HT 500 is the entry level hardtail eBike within the Lapierre 2015 range. Its the younger brother to the HT 900 offering a more budget friendly base; but still finished with decent components.
It even features a FSA internal sealed tapered headset, Easton stem, FUNN 740mm riser bars (Nico Vouilloz Signature), Mavic rims on Formula sealed hubs with through axle front and rear.
The drive train is running on Shimano 10 speed Deore SLX grade kit coupled with matching Deore hydraulic disk brakes for good braking power and minimal fuss.
To grip the HT 500 to the terrain this eBike uses Michelin Wild Grip'r 650B tyres for all round grip in most terrain.
Lapierre's very own Nico Vouilloz (10 times MTB World Champion) has tweaked the design of this eMTB to keep it performing above the rest when it comes to off road performance.
Lapierre use the 120mm travel RockShox XC32 forks which are air adjustable for the selected riders weight. This fork offers a lock out for climbing with optimal efficiency or when riding on flatter terrain. The new NCX seat post is great at taking the edge out of the back end for ultimate comfort and longer more comfortable distances in the saddle.
It doesn't just absorb the shock of the terrain but it moves back and forth with the rider for ultimate comforta'bility.
Lapierre has been working hard to create the ultimate all mountain eBike, using their already proven geometry and design skills and bring this to the eBike scene.
The Overvolt full suspension electric bike benefits from the new 650B / 27.5" wheel size.
This new wheel is designed with the benefits of the bigger 29" in wheel in mind, so it rolls fast and flows over bumps easier, but uses the 26" wheel characteristics for good maneuverability through tight single track areas.
The Lapierre Overvolt HT 500 is an excellent all round trail bike at a good price. After a harder hitter? Check out the Overvolt FS models or the HT 900 for better components and the Bosch Performance eBike drive system.
Bosch Active Line System
The new Lapierre Overvolt HT 500 2015 eBikes also feature the latest Bosch Active crank drive motor, so you can be sure it's fitted with the latest kit and setup for optimum performance.
This system outputs 48Nm of torque & peaks at 500w! It certainly packs a punch, it also offers up to 225% assistance on turbo mode, while Eco mode offers a more subtle 50% assistance. There are 4 levels of assistance and remember you can always turn it off completely and ride it as a normal bike!
This machine rolls just the same as a normal cycle. In fact the quality in the design, geometry & build make it a true performer! The Lapierre Overvolt HT 500 hardtail model features the Bosch 400Wh PowerPack Battery so it hosts the most range possible on a Bosch powered eBike.

Whats included?
This bike comes fully set-up by our workshop technicians. You can be sure that every aspect of the eBike has been dialed in for optimum performance. On all suspension models, be sure to let us know your weight as we can pre adjust the suspension to the desired rider weight, giving the perfect balance and agility specifically for individuals needs. All our electric bikes arrive with a user manual, keys, charger & free follow up service.
Our electric bikes also include a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics & 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims in-house. We can also offer worldwide support for customers further afield using a laptop or PC connected to the internet, combined with our diagnostic equipment.
E-bikeshop is a UK Bosch Electric Bike Service Center and our in house workshop is now exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We also have parts / spares to hand should they be required.
