Orbea havent launched any brand new models for the 2025 model year, however they have significantly updated their two biggest electric bike ranges. The new 2025 Orbea Wild model range will be taking advantage of the brand new Bosch Generation 5 motor as well as the updated Bosch eBike Flow app and the 2025 Orbea Rise has seen a compelte overhaul, with the range split into SL (Superlight) and LT (Long Travel) as well as a new larger 630Wh battery option and a full 85Nm of power from the newly updated Shimano drive system.
Orbea are slightly more expensive than some of our other manufacturers because of the way the company is set up and the bikes are made. Rather than being a machine-led bike building behemoth, Orbea are a smaller but far more "hands on" business.
Cooperatively owned and every employee being a shareholder in the company and its products, their hand finished attention to details where the end product directly affects their own investment in the business results in less bikes built per day, but a quality of product and finish unattainable by mass producers.
Orbea use a mix of motors from the worlds top manufacturers, selecting the best motor for the use case.
Their 2025 Orbea Wild range of mountain bikes uses a Bosch drive system. Their lighter weight 2025 Orbea Rise models use their own tuned version of the Shimano system and their lighter-still 2025 Orbea Gain electric road bikes use the German made Mahle X20 system.
