Scott Voltage Electric Bikes
The Scott Voltage's fusion of a lightweight full suspension design and the TQ HPR 50 motor crafts an exhilarating trail experience.
The Scott Voltage eRIDE is a modern, full-suspension e-MTB built to deliver serious trail performance — but with the refined feel and lighter weight often missing from traditional electric bikes. The frame (carbon HMF on many builds) uses clever suspension and integration to give a clean, uncluttered silhouette. Underneath, a compact mid-motor and internal battery allow the Voltage to stay svelte, yet still offer plenty of power to help you climb, cruise or tackle technical terrain. Its robust aluminium frame balances agility and durability, ensuring responsive handling over rugged terrains. The TQ HPR 50 motor injects powerful, smooth assistance, amplifying the rider's prowess on ascents and challenging trails.
The bike's seamless integration of motor and frame offers a harmonious ride, seamlessly transitioning between pedal-assist and manual control. With its advanced suspension system and precise engineering, the Scott Voltage champions versatility, making it an ideal companion for thrill-seeking riders seeking an adrenaline rush on the trails.
On the trail the Voltage excels in balance: enough suspension travel (roughly 150 mm front / 155 mm rear depending on spec) and well-chosen geometry give control and confidence going downhill — while the electric motor assist (up to 50 Nm from the TQ HPR50 system) eases the work on climbs and longer rides, so you can focus more on flow and fun than grinding out hills.

The Scott Voltage eRIDE is a lightweight, long travel trail machine. Where normal trail bike suspension tends to top out at around 140mm, the 160mm of travel offered on the Voltage opens up more doors on a single bike. Where shorter travel bikes might run out of travel, the Scott Voltage eRIDE offers a super lightweight trail platform with 29" wheels, but with the travel length to soak up much bigger drops and jumps than a traditional trail bike.
Yes — Voltage is a full-suspension e-MTB. Depending on the model, you get roughly 150 mm front suspension and about 155 mm rear suspension travel, which gives a very capable base for technical terrain and rough trails.
The Voltage is designed to stay more like a normal mountain bike in feel. Because the motor and battery are compact and well-integrated, the weight is better balanced than many e-bikes — you still get responsive handling and control, even with assist on.
On many builds you’ll find a 12-speed drivetrain (Shimano XT or equivalent) and hydraulic disc brakes (e.g. SRAM 4-piston), which together give enough gear range for climbs and strong stopping performance for technical descents.
The Scott Voltage eRIDE uses the brand new and already award winning TQ HPR 50 motor. While only having several years of mass market motor production under their belt in the bicycle industry, TQ have been in the motor business since 1994 and are already setting new standard in the eMTB industry. The 50Nm TQ HPR 50 is the perfect solution to lightweight ebikes requiring their power to weight ratio to equal or better the bigger power systems.
The standard 360 Wh battery gives good assist for trail rides, especially if you use pedal-power on flatter or easier sections. For longer rides or maximum assistance, there is the option of a compatible range-extender — which many riders see as useful if they want “all-day outing” capability.
It fits a broad spectrum: from riders who want help climbing hills without losing MTB feel; to more experienced mountain-bikers seeking a more usable, go-anywhere bike with e-assist for long trail days or tough terrain. It’s especially useful if you ride varied terrain and don’t want to compromise on performance.
Compared with a non-electric MTB — you get significant help on climbs and longer rides, which opens up more terrain and longer ride possibilities with less fatigue. Compared with heavy enduro e-bikes — you often get better agility and handling, while still retaining considerable power and suspension to handle demanding trails.
The heaviest of all of the Voltage models is the Scott Voltage eRide 920, which tips the scales at 19.2kg.The lightest of the range is the Voltage eRIDE 900 SL 17.9kg. Although not the lightest eMTB on the market right now, 17.9kg for a bike with a 360Wh battery and 160mm travel is exceptionally light for its class.
As with any e-MTB: added weight over a regular MTB, limited battery capacity compared with hardtail e-bikes (so range depends heavily on pedalling and terrain), and you may need to consider a range-extender for really extended trail days. Also the 360 Wh battery + assist means you’ll still need good pedalling input if you want to go far or climb hard.
