Who is this bike suitable for?
The new Cube Cube Reaction Hybrid SL 500 Kiox 2019 is built for riders wanting to explore both on and off road. The fast rolling wheels roll well on tarmac, whilst the 100mm suspension and Plus tyres come into their realm on forest tracks, paths and trails.
I was skeptical I could ascend a local very steep hill sitting down but I did and in torrentially wet conditions. The ability to have traction and āaccelerateā through hairpin bends whilst ascending is unique, as is the lower center of gravity which feel much safer and more controlled on steeper descents. All in all it is an amazing piece of kit.

With the Bosch Performance CX System and integrated PowerTube 500Wh battery, the Cube Reaction Hybrid SL 500 Kiox 2019 is ready to take you further.
Updated for 2019, Rockshox have released a brand new boost specific chassis for their ever popular Judy Gold fork. The new chassis has been build for the demands of modern riding, offering a stiff and lightweight fork in a capable package.
The Boost chassis also means better clearance for plus tires, allowing the Judy Gold forks to accommodate tires up to 2.8".
The forks are fully air adjustable, so can be set to the riders weight with a shock pump.
Cube have spec'd the Reaction Hybrid SL 500 Kiox 2019 with Shimano's new MT520 four piston hydraulic disc brake on the front and the MT500 two piston caliper on the rear. The four piston caliper gives additional braking power to the front where more braking force is needed.
These brakes offer solid performance with easy reach adjustment and are paired with 180mm discs to have you covered on the steeper terrain.
You can be sure they'll stop you as quickly as you accelerate on this eBike. Minimal maintenance and fuss. Aside from changing the brake pads from time to time you can fit & forget.
The Cube Reaction Hybrid SL 500 2019 grips the trail with 2.6" Schwalbe Nobby Nic tyres. These tires offer an excellent tread pattern for all round riding.
The Plus tyres give a wider footprint, whilst running lower pressures to offer superb cushioning & all round trail comfort.
Cube have used their own factory rims laced onto Shimano boost hubs. These 30mm wide rims offer an excellent tire profile for wider tires.
Cube has designed the Reaction Hybrid SL 500 Kiox to be thoroughly up to date for 2019, with internal routing for all cables including the option for fitting a stealth dropper post. The integrated PowerTube battery is protected by a metal battery cover for additional protection and the frame even has water bottle boss mounts on the downtube and seat tube for those longer rides.
The Reaction Hybrid SL 500 Kiox 2019 is equipped with Shimano's XT M8000 11 speed rear derailleur.
The XT setup offers a huge range of gearing from 11 to 46 teeth at the rear with Shimano's new wider range cassette.
This offers excellent ratios for both climbing & picking up speed on long flat areas. The gearing is both responsive and crisp, meaning you can focus on the ride.
The M8000 derailleur features Shimano's Shadow Plus one way friction clutch to reduce chain slap, helping to keep things quiet and efficient over rougher terrain.
The Cube Reaction SL 500 Kiox 2019 will be popular for many looking for an every day XC trail bike, with keen pricing with a well thought out spec. The Cube Reaction is also offered in the lower spec Reaction Hybrid Pro 500, which still features the Bosch Performance CX system with a 500Wh battery.

The new Cube Reaction Hybrid SL 500 Kiox 2019 eBike features the latest Bosch Performance CX crank drive motor, so you can be sure it's fitted with the latest kit and setup for optimum performance.
The 250w CX system outputs 75Nm of torque & peaks at 500w! It certainly packs a punch, it will also offer up to 300% assistance in turbo mode. Featuring 4 levels of assistance & remember you can always turn the power off and ride it as a normal bike! In addition, the new eMTB mode allows the user to set in one assistance mode and the system itself will determine the assistance offered.
The Cube Reaction Hybrid features new 'PowerTube' Bosch 500Wh battery technology for 2019 which is completely integrated into the frame. Cube have neatly designed it so it can be charged both on & off the bike.
The 2019 Bosch Kiox display is neat & compact with a super crisp resolution LCD display screen. The Bosch Kiox display offers all the rider credentials in a neat and easy to read user interface. Riders can see important factors like speed, distance and battery range on the screen. The newly designed 2019 control buttons, sit to the left of the bars to allow scrolling of this screen.

This electric bike comes fully set-up by our workshop technicians. You can be sure that every aspect of the eBike has been dialled in for optimum performance. All our electric bikes arrive with a user manual, keys, charger & free follow up service within 3 months.
Our electric bikes also include a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics & 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims in-house. We can also offer worldwide support for customers further afield using a laptop or PC connected to the internet, combined with our diagnostic equipment.
E-bikeshop is a UK Bosch Electric Bike Service Center and our in house workshop is now exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We also have parts / spares to hand should they be required.
