Who is this bike suitable for?
The brand new 2021 Cube Stereo Hybrid 140 HPC SL is a step up from the 140 HPC Race and is set to be every bit as popular as its previous incarnation. Built for all types of trail riding whether single track, cross country or all mountain, its specification against a keen price point make it an outstanding value bike. Driven by Bosch's latest Generation 4 Performance CX motor and a newly increased 85Nm of torque, a lightweight monocoque carbon frame and 29" wheels, the 2021 Cube Stereo 140 models are a super capable bike for aggressive trail carving and fast descents, with a playful ride and handling capable of tackling almost any terrain!

I was skeptical I could ascend a local very steep hill sitting down but I did and in torrentially wet conditions. The ability to have traction and āaccelerateā through hairpin bends whilst ascending is unique, as is the lower center of gravity which feel much safer and more controlled on steeper descents. All in all it is an amazing piece of kit.
New Features
The 2021 Cube Stereo 140 HPC SL features the Fox Factory Float DPS EVOL rear shock. Their most advanced mid-tier all-trail shock, its performance at its price point is unrivalled.
Adjustment is made via the 3 position lever, easily reached on the move and switchable between Open, Medium and Firm Modes. Aced the climb and ready to hit the downhill stuff? Just flick the switch to Open and unleash 140mm of plus, trail gripping travel.
At the front of the bike, the 2021 model gets a set of super smooth Fox 34 Rhythm forks with Sweep Adjust GRIP damper.
C62:Monocoque Carbon Frame
Building a frame that effortlessly blends the performance of an enduro model with the advantages of a Bosch e-bike is tricky, but Cube didn't let that stop them advancing their offering in 2021. The 2021 Cube Stereo 140 HPC SL again features a carbon main frame and alloy rear triangle with their modular battery system and Bosch motor completely integrated into the frame and down tube.
The shockproof 2-component battery cover reliably protects the battery and is removed with a simple button press. The frame comes with mounting points for a bottle cage in easy reach on the top of the downtube.
Following in the footsteps of the 2020 model the 2021 Cube Stereo 140 HPC SL ships with Shimano XT hydraulic disc brakes, using the M8120 four pot calliper both front and rear for high modulation and stopping. These are paired with 203mm rotors both front and rear for excellent initial bite early in the lever stroke, with the short XT levers offering easy and tool free reach adjustment.
The M8120 brakes will stop you as quickly as you accelerate on this Cube eBike. Minimal maintenance and fuss, aside from an occasional and very simple brake pad change, they're a fit and forget item!
The 2021 Cube Stereo 140 HPC SL grips the trail with a pair of 2.6" Schwalbe Hans Dampf tyres front and rear. This matching tire combo is hugely popular amongst many riders, offering excellent grip in everything from hardpack to loose muddy ground. The 27.5+ tyres give a wider footprint, whilst running lower pressures (and more so when tubeless!) offers superb cushioning & all round trail comfort.
Cube have used their own factory rims onto the Stereo 140 HPC SL for 2021 with Shimano boost hubs and 27.5+ rims. These 35mm wide rims offer an excellent tire profile for wider tires.
A suspension overhaul aside, very little has changed on the 2021 frame. A fresh paint job and minor tweaks to an already fantastic value bike include a further integrated cable routing design with a brand new stem/headset combination for all cables now sees almost no visible cables at all.
The 2021 Cube Stereo Hybrid 140 HPC SL features the latest Shimano XT M8100 12-Speed group set.
Using Shimano's Micro Spline freehub body, the bike comes with a smaller 10t 12th sprocket on their new wide range cassette.
With a whopping 10-51t setup you'll be sure there's no climb or descent you cant tackle without sacrificing top end speed.
The Shimano ShadowPlus clutch system ensures a stable drive train even in rough terrain with minimal chain slap for precise and quiet shifting.

Bosch CX & Kiox eBike System
The new Cube Stereo 140 HPC SL 2021 eBike features the latest Gen 4 Bosch Performance CX crank drive motor, with a fresh software upgrade for 2021.
The recently updated 250w CX system now provides 85Nm of torque & peaks at 500w! It certainly packs a punch, it will also offer up to 340% assistance in turbo mode. Featuring 4 levels of assistance & remember you can always turn the power off and ride it as a normal bike! In addition, the new eMTB mode allows the user to set in one assistance mode and the system itself will determine the assistance offered.
Now common place on top spec Bosch systems, the 2021 Cube 140 HPC SL features the new Bosch 'PowerTube' 625Wh battery. Completely integrated into the frame, Cube have neatly incorporated it into their "Modular Battery System", allowing it to be charged both on and off the bike.
The Bosch Kiox display is neat and super compact with a bright, intuitive LCD display screen. Despite it's slim design, it offers all the rider credentials in a neat and easy to read user interface. Riders can see important factors like speed, distance and battery range on the screen. The newly designed control buttons, sit to the left of the bars to allow scrolling of the centrally mounted Kiox screen.

This electric bike comes fully set-up by our workshop technicians. You can be sure that every aspect of the eBike has been dialled in for optimum performance. All our electric bikes arrive with a user manual, keys, charger & free follow up service within 3 months.
Our electric bikes also include a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics & 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims in-house. We can also offer worldwide support for customers further afield using a laptop or PC connected to the internet, combined with our diagnostic equipment.
E-bikeshop is a UK Bosch Electric Bike Service Center and our in house workshop is now exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We also have parts / spares to hand should they be required.
