Who is this bike suitable for?
The new Cube Stereo Hybrid 120 Pro 2021 is built around every day trail biking, be it light single track, forest paths or cross country. With the PowerTube battery (in a 500Wh or 625WH version) and 120mm of full suspension travel it's a good all rounder.
Sadly, this popular bike is now sold out but you can find the 2022 version here.
I was skeptical I could ascend a local very steep hill sitting down but I did and in torrentially wet conditions. The ability to have traction and ‘accelerate’ through hairpin bends whilst ascending is unique, as is the lower center of gravity which feel much safer and more controlled on steeper descents. All in all it is an amazing piece of kit.
New Features
A trail spec and travel bike with PowerTube Bosch 500Wh (with a 625Wh option for only £200!) and Performance CX motor. We welcome the Stereo 120 Pro.
Cube have equipped the 2021 Stereo 120 Pro with the RockShox Deluxe Select rear shock which neatly pairs top end control with user friendly adjustment options. Its latest Maxima Plush damping fluid reduces internal friction to ensure completely smooth operation.
The Debonair air spring offers an almost coil-like easily tune-able and consistent feeling shock, with rider weight adjustment made via the built in air valve.
Couple this with the RockShox Recon fork upfront which like the rear is also air adjustable to the riders weight/preference.
This 'eMTB Approved' fork ensures ultimate stiffness where eMTB demands are tougher.
Cube have spec'd the Stereo 120 Pro 2021 with Shimano's Deore hydraulic disc brakes. These offer solid performance with easy reach adjustment. Paired with 180mm discs front and rear offer plenty of bite and modulation making them a great all rounder.
You can be sure they'll stop you as quickly as you accelerate on this eBike. The front brake (where 70% of your stopping power comes from) is a twin pot calliper for double the breaking force. The rear brake is a single pot calliper.
The Cube Stereo 120 2021 grips the trail with 2.6" Schwalbe Smart Sam tyres. The Smart Sam's have a centre bead for fast rolling and then more resilient grip around the outside for stickier terrain offering the best all-rounder.
The 29+ tyres give a wider footprint, whilst running lower pressures to offer superb cushioning & all round trail comfort.
Cube have used their own factory rims onto the Stereo 120 Pro for 2021 with Shimano boost hubs and 29" rims. These 30mm wide rims offer an excellent tire profile for wider tires.
Cube has designed the Stereo 120 Pro to be thoroughly up to date for 2021, with internal routing for all cables including the option for a stealth dropper post. The integrated PowerTube battery is protected by a metal battery cover for additional protection and the frame even has water bottle boss mounts on the downtube for those longer rides.
The Cube Stereo 120 Pro 2021 features the Sram NX Eagle 12-Speed drive train.
The latest X-HORIZON derailleur design reduces chain slap and shifting force to offer a silky smooth and reliable setup.
SRAM's latest derailleurs utilise an internal Type 3 roller clutch bearing for a smoother torque curve and reduced movement over rough terrain, while offering smooth and much lighter shifting from the bars.
The SRAM PG-1210 Eagle 11-50t cassette is one of the widest ratio choices of any cassette designed for eMTB use. At the very top, you have the unparalleled ability to climb absolutely anything you can point the bike at while at the bottom, you'll find absolutely no compromise on top end speed over flat ground.
The Cube Stereo 120 will be popular for many looking for an every day XC trail bike, with keen pricing with a well thought out spec. Cube Stereos are also offered in two longer travel models for more aggressive riding with the Stereo 140 and Stereo 160.
Bosch CX & Purion eBike System
The new Cube Stereo Hybrid 120 Pro 2021 eBike features the Bosch Performance CX crank drive motor, so you can be sure it's fitted with the latest kit and setup for optimum performance.
The 250w CX system outputs 85Nm of torque & peaks at 500w! It certainly packs a punch, it will also offer up to 340% assistance in turbo mode. Featuring 4 levels of assistance & remember you can always turn the power off and ride it as a normal bike! In addition, the new eMTB mode allows the user to set in one assistance mode and the system itself will determine the assistance offered.
The Stereo 120 Pro features new 'PowerTube' 500Wh battery (or 625WH version) which is completely integrated into the frame. Cube have neatly designed it so it can be charged both on & off the bike.
For 2021 Cube have equipped the Bosch Purion display, a revised smaller dash that offers quick vision of essential parameters whilst occupying a minimal amount of cockpit space.

This electric bike comes fully set-up by our workshop technicians. You can be sure that every aspect of the eBike has been dialled in for optimum performance. All our electric bikes arrive with a user manual, keys, charger & free follow up service within 3 months.
Our electric bikes also include a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics & 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims in-house. We can also offer worldwide support for customers further afield using a laptop or PC connected to the internet, combined with our diagnostic equipment.
E-bikeshop is a UK Bosch Electric Bike Service Center and our in house workshop is now exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We also have parts / spares to hand should they be required.
