Who is this bike suitable for?
The new 2022 Cube Stereo Hybrid 120 Race 625 is built for open trail riding, whether its single track, forest paths and fire roads or cross country. Returning this year with a huge jump in specification, the Stereo 120 Race is the perfect trail burning machine whether you're a new rider, or looking to hone your skills and comes equipped with the Bosch Generation 4 Performance CX motor found on the top level eMTB models, a 625Wh battery to keep you moving all day and a Shimano XT 12 speed gearing setup often only found on the highest spec bikes.
I was skeptical I could ascend a local very steep hill sitting down but I did and in torrentially wet conditions. The ability to have traction and āaccelerateā through hairpin bends whilst ascending is unique, as is the lower center of gravity which feel much safer and more controlled on steeper descents. All in all it is an amazing piece of kit.
New Features
The 2022 Stereo 120 Race 625 get a few nice upgrades over the Pro model, with the Fox Float DPS EVOL rear shock. The EVOL air spring and dual piston damper combine to offer excellent efficiency on the trail.
Paired with a "New Generation" Fox eMTB specific fork, the Stereo Hybrid 120 Race will be a bike to beat on the trails in 2022.
This 'eMTB Approved' fork ensures ultimate stiffness where eMTB demands are tougher.
Cube have spec'd the Stereo 120 Race 625 2022 with Magura MT Thirty brakes. These offer solid performance with easy reach adjustment. Paired with 203mm discs front and rear offer plenty of bite and modulation making them a great all rounder.
Brand new for the Stereo 120 models in 2022, Cube are now equipping 4 piston Magura MT Thirty brakes. 4 piston brakes offer greater bite force, bringing the bike to a halt as quickly as it takes off!
The 2022 Cube Stereo 120 models grip the trail with 2.6" Schwalbe Smart Sam tyres. The Smart Sam tyres have a continual band of central tread for fast rolling on hard packed surfaces, with more aggressive tread around the shoulders for the rougher stuff.
The 29+ tyres give a wider footprint, whilst running lower pressures to offer superb cushioning and all round trail comfort.
Cube have used their own factory rims onto the Stereo 120 Pro for 2022 with Shimano boost hubs and 29" rims. These 30mm wide rims offer an excellent tire profile for wider tires.
The Cube Stereo Hybrid 120 Race 625 has a sleek frame design with full internal cable and hose routing, including the option for an internally routed dropper post.
The Cube Stereo Hybrid 120 Race gets a lovely 12 speed upgrade for 2022 in the form of the Shimano XT M8100 group set.
Its super wide ratio 10-51T cassette offers an exceptional climbing ability, without holding you back in top speed on open ground and offers a useful gear for every scenario, regardless of terrain.
The Rapid-Fire Plus shifters provide smooth but positive shifting, and the Shadow Plus rear derailleur keep chain tension in check and chain slap to a minimum.
The Cube Stereo Hybrid 120 Race model is always a popular model for those looking for an every day XC trail bike, with keen pricing for an incredibly well thought out specification. The Cube Stereo model range is vast, and are also offered in two longer travel models for more aggressive riding with the Stereo 140 and Stereo 160.
Bosch CX & Purion eBike System
The new Cube Stereo Hybrid 120 Race 625 2022 eBike features the Bosch Performance CX crank drive motor, so you can be sure it's fitted with the latest kit and setup for optimum performance.
The 250w CX system outputs 85Nm of torque & peaks at 500w! It certainly packs a punch, it will also offer up to 340% assistance in turbo mode. Featuring 4 levels of assistance & remember you can always turn the power off and ride it as a normal bike! In addition, the new eMTB mode allows the user to set in one assistance mode and the system itself will determine the assistance offered.
The Stereo 120 Race features new 'PowerTube' 625Wh battery which is completely integrated into the frame. Cube have neatly designed it so it can be charged both on & off the bike.
For 2022 Cube have equipped the Bosch Purion display, a revised smaller dash that offers quick vision of essential parameters whilst occupying a minimal amount of cockpit space.

This electric bike comes fully set-up by our workshop technicians. You can be sure that every aspect of the eBike has been dialled in for optimum performance. All our electric bikes arrive with a user manual, keys, charger & free follow up service within 3 months.
Our electric bikes also include a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics & 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims in-house. We can also offer worldwide support for customers further afield using a laptop or PC connected to the internet, combined with our diagnostic equipment.
E-bikeshop is a UK Bosch Electric Bike Service Center and our in house workshop is now exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We also have parts / spares to hand should they be required.
