Who is this bike suitable for?
The new 2022 Cube Stereo Hybrid 160 HPC Race 625 is a completely "redesigned and redefined" all mountain and enduro bike that set apart from their competitors by their stunning value. Combining 170mm front and 160mm rear travel with 27.5" wheels, the Stereo 160 range allows new riders to overcome their limits but still provides a playful platform for more highly skilled riders. The Stereo 160 HPC Race is a step up from the entry "Pro" bike and offers outstanding performance and a very keen price point, making it a brilliant machine for all rider levels, helping you do more, faster, steeper and tougher than ever.
I was skeptical I could ascend a local very steep hill sitting down but I did and in torrentially wet conditions. The ability to have traction and ‘accelerate’ through hairpin bends whilst ascending is unique, as is the lower center of gravity which feel much safer and more controlled on steeper descents. All in all it is an amazing piece of kit.
New Features
The 2022 Cube Stereo Hybrid 160 HPC Race comes equipped for the roughest of mountain biking. The brand new RockShox Domain R 38mm fork, specially approved for eMTB use provides 170mm of ultra plush travel for exceptional control and stability at the front of the bike.
Tailored for eMTB riding, the new Rockshox Domain R forks come with a highly tuneable single air spring and will take tyres up to 2.8" in width.
This 'eMTB Approved' fork ensures ultimate stiffness where eMTB demands are tougher.
At the rear of the bike, Cube supply the latest Rockshox Deluxe Select 160mm shock with adjustable rebound.
For 2022, Cube have Stereo 160 Race 625 2022 with Magura MT Thirty hydraulic disc brakes. These 4 piston brakes are becoming more common on mid-high end eMTB models because of their solid performance with easy reach adjustment. Paired with 203mm discs front and rear they offer plenty of bite and modulation making them a great all rounder.
The 2022 Cube Stereo Hybrid 160 models get a user feedback generated tyre upgrade for the new model year, and now ship with the Maxxis Minion Dual EXO tyres, with a 2.5" DHF fitted up front, and 2.4" DHR at the rear. These Tubeless Ready tyres can be set up tubeless when we build your new bike at just £49.99 by simply adding this product to the basket.
The 27.5 wheel and tyre combination on the Cube Stereo 160 Race models are the perfect balance of speed and agility.
Cube have used their own factory rims on the Stereo Hybrid 160 Race for 2022, with Shimano boost hubs and 29" rims. These 30mm wide rims offer an excellent platform for the ever increasing choice of eMTB tyres.
The Cube Stereo Hybrid 160 HPC Race 625 has a sleek frame design with full internal cable and hose routing, including the factory fitted dropper post. Its matt finish is eye catching and shows off the fantastic level of effort in functional design in the High Performance Carbon frame. Each part of the bike is specifically designed to neatly work with the next to provide a seamless, flawless level of integration across the whole bike.
12 Speed gearing has become the "go to" choice for eMTB manufacturers in the mid-high price tier, and the 2022 Cube Stereo Hybrid 160 Race retains its 12 speed group set for 2022 in the form of the Shimano Deore M6100 set up.
Its super wide ratio 10-51T cassette offers an exceptional climbing ability, without holding you back in top speed on open ground and offers a useful gear for every scenario, regardless of terrain.
The Rapid-Fire Plus shifters provide smooth but positive shifting, and the Shadow Plus rear derailleur keep chain tension in check and chain slap to a minimum.
The Cube Stereo Hybrid 160 HPC Race model is always a popular model for those looking for a well equipped all mountain bike, with keen pricing for an incredibly well thought out specification. The Cube Stereo model range is vast, and are also offered in two short travel models for less aggressive riding with the Stereo 120 and Stereo 140 models.
Bosch CX & Purion eBike System
The new Cube Stereo Hybrid 160 Race 625 2022 eBike features the Bosch Performance CX crank drive motor, so you can be sure it's fitted with the latest kit and setup for optimum performance.
The 250w CX system outputs 85Nm of torque & peaks at 500w! It certainly packs a punch, it will also offer up to 340% assistance in turbo mode. Featuring 4 levels of assistance & remember you can always turn the power off and ride it as a normal bike! In addition, the new eMTB mode allows the user to set in one assistance mode and the system itself will determine the assistance offered.
The Stereo 160 Race features new 'PowerTube' 625Wh battery which is completely integrated into the frame. Cube have neatly designed it so it can be charged both on & off the bike.
For 2022 Cube have equipped the Bosch Purion display, a revised smaller dash that offers quick vision of essential parameters whilst occupying a minimal amount of cockpit space.

This electric bike comes fully set-up by our workshop technicians. You can be sure that every aspect of the eBike has been dialled in for optimum performance. All our electric bikes arrive with a user manual, keys, charger & free follow up service within 3 months.
Our electric bikes also include a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics & 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims in-house. We can also offer worldwide support for customers further afield using a laptop or PC connected to the internet, combined with our diagnostic equipment.
E-bikeshop is a UK Bosch Electric Bike Service Center and our in house workshop is now exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We also have parts / spares to hand should they be required.
