Ordered my E-Bike from Martin on Monday 23rd November 2015 and it arrived the next day Tuesday 24th November.
I have got to say the bike was packaged in the box very well and all I had to do was fit the pedals and straighten the handlebars. This was even easy for me not being the most mechanically minded cyclist out there.
The accessories I ordered from Martin at the time i.e Mudguards etc were all fitted to the bike for me when the bike arrived. All the manuals, charger were neatly boxed within the larger box containing the bike.
As already said the packaging was superb.
I ordered the Haibike s Duro Hardline SL 2016 which I believe is Haibike's entry level model but don't be put off by this because it is equipped to a good standard. For example it comes with Shimano Deore 10 speed gearing and Yamaha's superb motor with the 400 watt battery and Shwalbe Tyres. The icing on the cake was the quick release front and rear tyres and also a quick release saddle post.
Now to the exciting part actually testing out the bike.
I must admit because I have just received the bike today 24th I have not tested it off road or on the trails but I did test it on my local roads with some hills thrown in.
The Yamaha assist motor delivers the power in abundance and what is even better it is immediate. It is there whn you want or need it just like it should be.
The computer head sits in the centre of the handlebars/ stem and gives you all the information you are likely to need on a cycle ride including the percentage left in the battery and the miles you can travel before you need to recharge.
I love the fact you can have miles of kilometers. It also tells you your cadence and a clock is also part of the set up.
The bike itself is well constructed and handles well for a 29er. It feels solid and safe knowing that you have the Tektra Hydraulic Disc Brakes 180mm.
It climbed the hills effortlessly even on the standard setting position. You have an Eco Plus which will take you 90 miles depending on the weight of rider weather conditions etc. There is also an ordinary Eco and High mode settings or if you are feeling fit you can switch the battery to the off position.
I tried this and because the motor is centrally placed on the bike I found this not as difficult as I thought it was going to be.
I found this bike reasonably light weight for a 29 inch E-Bike.
21.5 kgs I believe.
So really guys there is nothing much to not like about this bike as everything so far is good and I will update my review when I get a chance to go off road on the trails at some point in the future.
I would just like to thank Martin and his team for the turn out of the bike and the customer service I received as it was second to none.
I would not hesitate to buy another bike from Martin and would highly recommend The Electric Bike Company to all my friends and family.
Thanks for a great purchasing experience and a great product.
