Who is this bike suitable for?
The new 2016 sDuro HardNine SL features 100mm of travel, this hardtail electric bike is the entry level model within the Haibike sDuro range. The HardNine SL 2016 eBike is a real all rounder that is capable of most XC / Trail use. This decent hardtail 29er trail bike but we also found many people using it as a clutter free commuter.
So really guys there is nothing much to not like about this bike as everything so far is good. I would just like to thank Martin and his team for the turn out of the bike and the customer service I received as it was second to none.I would not hesitate to buy another bike from Martin and would highly recommend The Electric Bike Company to all my friends and family. New Features
The brand new 2016 sDuro Haibike HardNine SL eBike is an exciting one for us, it offers an affordable way into the crank drive electric bike world.
With fast rolling 29" wheels. It's easier to maneuver over obstacles this bigger wheel bike is also great at riding on tarmac for those who wish to ride both on and off road.
Upgrades for the 2016 HardNine SL see's a full Shimano Deore 10 speed drivetrain, this is a good upgrade over the 9 speed and offers more versatility with it's 11-36t ratios.
The 10 speed gearing brings it in line with the current market and means that you have a electric mountain bike with a full range both up and down hill.
The 2016 sDuro HardNine SL features a Suntour 100mm front suspension fork with lockout so the riders energy can be conserved whilst climbing or on less bumpy terrain. This is fully air adjustable for the specific riders weight.
The 29" wheels are made up of XLC disc hubs which are quick release front and rear, these are laced onto Rodi disc specific alloy double wall rims and Sapim double butted spokes. A strong but lightweight wheelset, perfect for your everyday biker!
On the 2016 sDuro HardNine SL we see the Tektro hydraulic disc brakes front and rear with larger 180mm rotors for increased stopping power.
Although the entry level model sDuro, Haibike have managed to squeeze a decent set of Schwalbe Rapid Rob tyres into the equation.
These tyres offer decent off road grip but don't pick up too much resistance on tarmac or hard pack terrain.
Although we call this model the entry level bike within the Haibike sDuro range, it's actually pretty well equipped.
Suitable both on / off road, it's a mountain bike at heart but can also be used as a clutter free commuter, a little more versatile in that you can use it off road too. A German built bike with the Yamaha crank drive motor, all for under £2K? You decide!
Yamaha eBike System
The new Haibike sDuro HardNine SL is powered by the latest Yamaha electric bike system. Haibike has partnered with Yamaha to bring a brand new line of sDuro eBikes, this powerful 250w motor offers up to 280% assistance and peaks at 80Nm of torque.
The power curve comes in early and is responsive as soon as you touch the pedals. The new assistance is set in 4 levels for 2016 - 'Eco+', 'Eco', 'Standard' & 'High'. This allows the user to fine tune the amount of assistance required during the ride offering complete flexibility and control.
The 2016 Yamaha system uses a 400Wh battery, now with an assisted range of up to 90 miles due to the new Eco+ assistance mode. The Haibike sDuro Hard Nine SL 2016 eBike is offered with the largest 400Wh Yamaha battery to give a full day's ride time.
The Yamaha eBike battery can be quickly recharged in a matter of hours and the new LCD display shows not just how much capacity the battery holds but also the predicted range in assisted miles. The charger now boasts an even smaller shell for 2016.

This bike comes fully set-up by our workshop technicians. You can be sure that every aspect of the eBike has been dialled in for optimum performance. All our electric bikes arrive with a user manual, keys, charger & free follow up service within 3 months.
Our electric bikes also include a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics & 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims in-house. We can also offer remote worldwide support.
E-bikeshop is a UK Yamaha Electric Bike Service Center and our in house workshop is now exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We also have parts / spares to hand should they be required.
