Who is this bike suitable for?
The Haibike sDuro Trekking 4.0 eBike is the base model in the Haibike trekking range for 2018. Built for road and light path use. Including canal paths, bridleways, forest roads & back lanes. It's equipped with essentials like lights, mudguards, pannier rack & a side stand. Popular with leisure & commuters alike, this fast bike rolls well on roads and the hybrid tyre also takes well to light paths.
Just a note to let you know how I'm getting on.. It's really good piece of kit. All quality parts, properly put together. The gear ratios all harmonise, and it's very comfortable to ride. The assistance works smoothly and seamlessly, the noise is level very low. The set up suits what I need - quiet roads, occasional trails, but lots of hills.
New Features
The unisex variant offers a slightly lower cross bar and refined geometry to allow a slightly more upright position.
On the 2018 sDuro Trekking eBike we see the Tektro hydraulic disc brakes front and rear with larger 180 / 203mm rotors for increased stopping power.
Minimal fuss, simple brake pad change and typically the pads last double as long as standard V brake rubber pads.
The 2018 Trekking 4.0 features the Suntour NEX front suspension fork with a mild 63mm of travel to take the zing out of the front end.
These lightweight fork's are constructed of magnesium lowers also feature a lockout so the rider can switch between locked and open when changing terrain surfaces.
The Shimano Deore drive train offers superb shifting at a fraction of the cost compared to it's bigger brothers XT and XTR ranges.
All the Shimano Shadow mech's offer a clutch system to reduce chain suck and keep an overall crisp feeling with less flex and bounce over the rougher bumps.
The new Shimano HG500 10 speed casette at the rear is specially developed to give a 11-42t setup. This is more commonly seen with 11 speed systems.
Haibike have finished the xDuro Trekking 4.0 eBike with sealed through axle Haibike disc hubs laced onto strong and lightweight Rodi alloy double wall rims.
The sDuro Trekking 4.0 eBike is equipped with all the essentials including front/rear lights (Powered off the Yamaha eBike system itself), mudguards, a rear rack & side stand. Considering all of this and the German build quality, it's a well price bike of this spec!
Yamaha PW eBike System
The new Haibike sDuro Trekking 4.0 is powered by the Yamaha PW series electric bike system. Haibike has partnered with Yamaha to bring a brand new line PW series eBikes, this powerful 250w motor offers up to 280% assistance and peaks at 70Nm of torque.
The power curve comes in early and is responsive as soon as you touch the pedals. The assistance is set in 4 levels- 'Eco+', 'Eco', 'Standard' & 'High'. This allows the user to fine tune the amount of assistance required during the ride offering complete flexibility and control.
The Haibike sDuro Trekking 4.0 2018 eBike is offered with the 400Wh Yamaha battery to give a full day's ride time. The Yamaha eBike battery can be quickly recharged in a matter of hours and the new LCD display shows not just how much capacity the battery holds but also the predicted range in assisted miles.

This electric bike comes fully set-up by our workshop technicians. You can be sure that every aspect of the eBike has been dialled in for optimum performance. All our electric bikes arrive with a user manual, keys, charger & free follow up service within 3 months.
Our electric bikes also include a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics & 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims in-house. We can also offer worldwide support for customers further afield using a laptop or PC connected to the internet, combined with our diagnostic equipment.
E-bikeshop is a UK Bosch Electric Bike Service Center and our in house workshop is now exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We also have parts / spares to hand should they be required.
