Who is this bike suitable for?
The new 2017 Haibike sDuro Trekking 5.0 electric bike is built for road and light path use. Including canal paths, bridleways, forest roads and back lanes. It's equipped with essentials like lights, mudguards, pannier rack and a side stand. Popular with leisure riders and commuters alike, this fast bike rolls well on roads and the hybrid tyre also takes well to light paths.
Just a note to let you know how I'm getting on.. It's really good piece of kit. All quality parts, properly put together. The gear ratios all harmonise, and it's very comfortable to ride. The assistance works smoothly and seamlessly, the noise is level very low. The set up suits what I need - quiet roads, occasional trails, but lots of hills.
New Features
This on and off road bike is equipped with fast rolling 700c wheels so they are easy work on tarmac where needs be.
Coupled with the new 500Wh Yamaha battery and smaller quick charger, this Trekking bike will travel further for 2017.
The sDuro Trekking 5.0 2017 eBike is one of the only crank driven electric bikes in the world to offer a dual ring on the front.
Giving a massive 20 gear range in a 2 x 10 setup ensuring maximum gear range is given for both up & down hill.
The 2017 sDuro Trekking 5.0 features the Suntour NCX front suspension fork, offering a mild 63mm of travel to take the zing out of the front end. These lightweight fork's are constructed of magnesium lowers, for an overall lightweight build. They also offer a lockout for maximum efficiency whilst climbing.
The 700c wheels are made up of XLC Evo disc hubs which are quick release front and rear, these are laced onto Rodi disc specific alloy double wall rims and Sapim double butted spokes. A strong but lightweight wheelset, perfect for your everyday biker!
Haibike have opted for solid reliable Shimano XT hydraulic disc brakes for lots of braking power but more importantly minimal maintenance and adjustment.
Don't forget the 2017 sDuro Trekking 5.0 is kitted out with full front and rear mudguards, a handy pannier rack, sturdy prop stand, comfy saddle, comfort dual zone gel grips and even front & rear LED lights that are powered / controlled by the Yamaha system itself.
Yamaha eBike System
The new Haibike sDuro Trekking 5.0 is powered by the Yamaha PW series electric bike system. Haibike has partnered with Yamaha to bring a brand new line of sDuro eBikes, this powerful 250w motor offers up to 280% assistance and peaks at 80Nm of torque.
The power curve comes in early and is responsive as soon as you touch the pedals. The assistance is set in 4 levels for 2017 - 'Eco+', 'Eco', 'Standard' & 'High'. This allows the user to fine tune the amount of assistance required during the ride offering complete flexibility and control.
The Haibike sDuro Trekking 5.0 2017 eBike is offered with the larger 500Wh Yamaha battery to give a full day's ride time. The Yamaha eBike battery can be quickly recharged in a matter of hours and the new LCD display shows not just how much capacity the battery holds but also the predicted range in assisted miles. The charger now boasts an even smaller shell for 2017.

This electric bike comes fully set-up by our workshop technicians. You can be sure that every aspect of the eBike has been dialled in for optimum performance. All our electric bikes arrive with a user manual, keys, charger & free follow up service within 3 months.
Our electric bikes also include a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics & 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims in-house. We can also offer worldwide support.
E-bikeshop is a UK Yamaha Electric Bike Service Center and our in house workshop is now exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We also have parts / spares to hand should they be required.
