Who is this bike suitable for?
The mid range All Mountain electric bike from Haibike, the AllMtn RX offers a good component set with full XT & 150mm travel. This decent specc'd eMTB is built for All Mountain / Trail Centre / Free Ride use. One of the most versatile eBikes on offer.
After loads of searching and quite a few test rides on different makes of e-bike, I finally narrowed my choice down to three of the Haibikes. With some comprehensive advice from Martin, and the apparent professionalism of the e-bike site, I went and bought the RX 27.5. This bike is not only lovely to ride but lovely to look at!..
New Features
New for 2016 the Haibike xDuro AllMtn RX offers an all new chassis, integrating the new higher performance Bosch CX drive unit with added assistance and higher torque outputs.
Of course we see a new specification base as well to bring this high performing all mountain bike up to date with the latest in component innovation.
Haibike have opted for the new Fox Float DPS Performance shock on the AllMtn RX for 2016. It features 3 stages of adjustment for on-the-fly rider adjustment.
This Dual Piston System allows for the shock to be completely locked out, left completely open or the mid stage allows maximum efficiency but gives as required when riding over bumpier terrain.
This adjustability gives full control over varied terrain.
On the 2016 xDuro AllMtn PRO the wheels are 27.5" (650B), so optimize the benefits of both 26" & 29" and combine them into one fast rolling, easy to manoeuvre wheel size. To maintain traction on these lovely wheels are the new Schwalbe Hans Dampf Evo tyres, German made for superior grip on all mountain use across mixed terrain with maximum protection.
For 2016 Haibike have spec'd the AllMtn RX with the new DT Swiss E1900 wheel set. Built around All Mountain & Enduro use, these wheels come in at a fraction under 2000 grams a pair. The extra pawls and alloy double wall rims allow for harder use with minimal flex.
The 2016 xDuro AllMtn RX is set up with the new Shimano XT hydraulic disc brakes. These offer a superior feel with servo pistons in the lever and wide pads down in the calliper. Allowing or stopping even under the more extreme circumstances.
The 2016 xDuro RX comes as standard with a KS LEV-DX dropper post built in so you can raise and lower the seat at the flick of a switch on the handlebars, whilst on the move. Thus adjustable for both uphill and downhill riding with minimal effort.
The 2016 RX is equipped with Shimano's new 11 speed drivetrain. The 2016 XT setup offers a huge range of gearing from 11 to 42 teeth at the rear. So you have excellent ratios for both climbing and flying back down the trails.
The full Shimano XT set up from brakes and gears gives a clean cut overall spec with matchmaker components.
Haibike are the only electric bike manufacturer to mount the motor with the swing arm pivot bolt in a raised position ensuring the rear end is much shorter than any other eMTB. This ensures a shorter wheelbase for the ultimate control and manoeuvrability off road.
The chain is impossible to drop due to the exclusive Haibike S.E.S. (Sprocket Equalizing System). This raises the chain off the front sprocket up to the same level as the swing arm pivot point so the chain is not affected by the rear end moving up and down over bumps.
This mid range all mountain bike sits in between the PRO and the RC. With full XT and mid range components, we expect it to be a popular one for those looking for that little bit more than it's younger brother. Want higher spec? Check out the PRO.
Bosch CX & Intuvia eBike System
The new Haibike ALLMTN RX 2016 eBike also features the latest Bosch Performance CX crank drive motor, so you can be sure it's fitted with the latest kit and setup for optimum performance.
The new 250w CX system outputs 75Nm of torque & peaks at 500w! It certainly packs a punch, it will also offer up to 300% assistance on turbo mode.
Featuring 4 levels of assistance & remember you can always turn the power off and ride it as a normal bike!
This machine rolls just the same as a normal cycle. In fact the quality in the design, geometry & build make it a true performer! The Haibike ALL MTN RX features the brand new Bosch 500Wh PowerPack Battery for 2016 so it hosts the most range possible on a Bosch powered electric mountain bike.

This bike comes fully set-up by our workshop technicians. You can be sure that every aspect of the eBike has been dialled in for optimum performance. All our electric bikes arrive with a user manual, keys, charger & free follow up service within 3 months.
Our electric bikes also include a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics & 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims in-house. We can also offer worldwide support for customers further afield using a laptop or PC connected to the internet, combined with our diagnostic equipment.
E-bikeshop is a UK Bosch Electric Bike Service Center and our in house workshop is now exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We also have parts / spares to hand should they be required.
