Haibike xDuro RC 29 2014 Electric Bike

What is this eBike suitable for?- This 2014 Haibike RC 29 is an ideal electric bike for those that want to commute in the week and hit the rough stuff at the weekend. With its big 29” wheel it rolls really fast on the road, climbs easily, and is quick on the flat. But its capable enough to put it through its paces off-road.

New Features- The 2014 RC 29 electric bike is actually the bigger brother to the SL 29. Its fitted with the larger 400Wh Bosch battery, it also features better all-round components. The eBike is built German engineered hard tail chassis. Up front is the Rock Shox Reba RL air adjustable and oil dampened fork. This has a remote lock-out too which is really handy on the roads, flatter off road terrain and climbing. The eBike features Magura MT 2 hydraulic disc brakes and a Shimano Deore / SLX gear system. Notice how Haibike cleverly invert the Bosch electric bike motor 280 degrees out of the way as opposed to its 'under slung' competitors. This means that not only is the motor up out of the way and protected by the frame but it also is out of the firing line of crud flicking up from the front wheel. By inverting the electric bike motor up like this it gives maximum ground clearance which is important on an electric mountain bike. It also is super stiff in the way it is mounted so as there is no loss of efficiency through your pedal. This idea is patented by Haibike which is why you will not find the motor in this position on other manufacturers electric bikes.
