Haibike xDuro SL 29 2014 Electric Bike

What is this eBike suitable for?

The 2014 Haibike SL 29 is the entry level version of the 29” eMTB! eMobility and 29 inch wheels are combined to make an exciting eMTB. The result: the best of both worlds! Weighing in at just 21.1kg! Its an ideal eBike for those that want to commute in the week and hit the rough stuff at the weekend. With its big 29” wheel it rolls really fast on the road, climbs easily, and is quick on the flat. But its capable enough to put it through its paces off-road.

New Features..

The SL 29 eBike is actually the younger brother to the RC 29. It still features the same German build alloy frame and quality but is finished off with lower grade components and the slightly smaller Bosch battery pack. The SL 29 features the air adjustable Rock Shox XC32 forks. These have a remote lockout which is really handy on flatter terrain, climbing and road riding. The stopping power comes from the Tektro hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors front and rear. Whilst the drivetrain is finished with Shimano Deore spec components. The bigger 29'er wheels are wrapped with German manufacturer Schwalbe’s Racing Ralph tyres. You can read a more in depth review of the Haibike SL 29 on my blog post here.

Notice how Haibike cleverly invert the Bosch electric bike motor 280 degrees up out of the way as opposed to its 'under slung' competitors. This means that not only is the motor up out of the way and protected by the frame but it also is out of the firing line of crud flicking up from the front wheel. By inverting the motor up like this it gives maximum ground clearance which is important on a mountain electric bike. It also is super stiff in the way it is mounted so as their is no loss of efficiency through your pedal. This idea is patented by Haibike which is why you will not find the motor in this position on other manufacturer's eBikes. Bosch eBike System..

The new Haibike SL 29 eBikes also features the Bosch Classic+ Crank Drive & Intuvia display. This system outputs 48Nm of torque & peaks at 500w! It certainly packs a punch, it will also offer up to 250% assistance on turbo mode, while Eco mode offers a more subtle 50% assistance.

There are 4 levels of assistance and remember you can always turn it off completely and ride it as a normal bike!

Whats included?

This bike comes fully set-up by our workshop technicians. You can be sure that every aspect of the eBike has been dialed in for optimum performance. On all suspension models, be sure to let us know your weight as we can pre adjust the suspension to the desired rider weight, giving the perfect balance and agility specifically for individuals needs. All our electric bikes arrive with a user manual, keys, charger & free follow up service.

Our electric bikes also include a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics & 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims in-house. We can also offer worldwide support for customers further afield using a Laptop, iPhone or iPad combined with our diagnostic equipment.

E-bikeshop is a UK Bosch Electric Bike Service Center and our in house workshop is now exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We also have parts / spares to hand should they be required.
