Who is this bike suitable for?
The new 2016 Haibike xDuro Trekking RX eBike is ideal for Touring / Commuting / Hybrid / Trekking / Road riding styles. Its well specced equipment and low rolling resistance make it ideal for the everyday cyclist. The Haibike Trekking RX can be used as a hybrid bike, so you can ride cycle lanes, canal towpaths or even dart across a field, it's not restricted to tarmac.
The passion Martin has for electric bikes means his knowledge is for the product is outstanding. Have done 80 miles so far verdict brilliant, rolls well on the standard Tyres. New Features
The Haibike xDuro Trekking RX is available in both Men's (crossbar) & Unisex (approx 2" drop) variants for 2016
The unisex variant offers a slightly lower cross bar and refined geometry to allow a slightly more upright position.
A major difference on the Trekking RX for 2016 is the introduction of the new Performance CX drive unit with higher torque output and the larger 500Wh Bosch battery for extended commuting / touring range.
The fast stopping Tektro Gemini hydraulic disc brake and you can be sure to pull up hard as you come to a stop. These brakes offer minimal maintenance and fuss. The pads last double the time of a standard V brake pad, they are self cleaning and offer superior amounts of stopping power.
For 2016 the Trekking RX upgrades to full Shimano XT. The new 11 speed drivetrain offers a whopping 11-42t gear range meaning it's not just 1 extra gear you get over 10 speed, but in fact a far wider range spread over 11 gears.
The XT mech offers a clutch system to keep the chain under tension, so no longer does the chain clatter about.
It also makes gear changes smooth and fast, forget sloppy changes the XT offer precise and perfect shifting.
This also allows Haibike to run the full 75Nm of torque through this derailleur setup. Meaning even better hill climbing and a decent spread of gear ratios to match.
Say hello to trekking without limitations on gearing, with hill climbing a breeze and a faster pace downhill.
Haibike use a strong wheelset made up of XLC hubs & Rodi Black Rock alloy double wall rims and spokes. This offers a lightweight but strong option for everyday cycling. The rims look great as a disc specific rim in black which really finishes off the bike.
Haibike have opted for the German Schwalbe Energiser Tour tyres. These offer a Kevlar puncture lining to prevent those mid ride nasties, they have been created specifically for eBikes for longer life with faster rolling speeds.
The 700c wheels rolls well on both road, bridle and cycle paths, this everyday all round eBike if fit for all round use.
The rack is handy so you can fit pannier bags or and luggage you may require whilst cycling and the built in lights mean you can never forget and leave them at home. This gets rid of the worries of bulbs and batteries as the power source is from the Bosch battery itself.
The whole build on the new 2016 Trekking RX is as expected from Haibike. From the German build quality, to the gravity casting motor mounts and high quality specification, you can be sure to put it through its paces as an everyday electric bike.
Bosch CX & Intuvia eBike System
The new Haibike Trekking RX 2016 eBike also features the latest Bosch Performance CX crank drive motor, so you can be sure it's fitted with the latest kit and setup for optimum performance.
The new 250w CX system outputs 75Nm of torque & peaks at 500w! It certainly packs a punch, it will also offer up to 300% assistance on turbo mode.
Featuring 4 levels of assistance & remember you can always turn the power off and ride it as a normal bike!
This machine rolls just the same as a normal cycle. In fact the quality in the design, geometry & build make it a true performer! The Haibike Trekking RX features the brand new Bosch 500Wh PowerPack Battery for 2016 so it hosts the most range possible on a Bosch powered electric trekking bike.

This bike comes fully set-up by our workshop technicians. You can be sure that every aspect of the eBike has been dialled in for optimum performance. All our electric bikes arrive with a user manual, keys, charger & free follow up service within 3 months.
Our electric bikes also include a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics & 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims in-house. We can also offer worldwide support for customers further afield using a laptop or PC connected to the internet, combined with our diagnostic equipment.
E-bikeshop is a UK Bosch Electric Bike Service Center and our in house workshop is now exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We also have parts / spares to hand should they be required.
