New Features
The new 2018 Lapierre Overvolt integrated Shimano eBikes offer superb looks and riding characteristics, while keeping the battery stealthily tucked away in the frame and an even centre of gravity.
The 'Snake Tech' battery is bendy and can easily be charged both on the bike or removed from the frame completely. Whilst a fighter jet style push button on top of the top tube turns the bike on and off.
The Lapierre AM 627i is spec'd with Fox Float 36 forks, offering 160mm travel, trail adjust & now come with the Boost axle setup for increased stiffness and superb handling.
At the rear we see the Fox Float DPX2 rear shock with lever actuated Open, Medium & Firm modes for full trail adjust ability.
All the Overvolt Shimano AM models are built on new 27+ wheels for 2018. What's PLUS all about? This revelation hitting the cycling industry by storm offer a wider 2.8" broader tyre for ultimate traction, comfort & grip. Without compromising on rolling resistance.
The Overvolt 627i is fitted up with Shimano hydraulic disc brakes on larger 203mm rotors, now with split clamps and reach adjust, a great every day brake.
A shorter stem and wider bar are fitted for the new Overvolt range in 2018 giving maximum stability and leverage on the steering.
Each of the 2018 Overvolt AM Shimano integrated models can be special ordered in the 29" wheel format too if required.
Please contact us for this as we will only be stocking the 27.5" versions, the 29" specific versions will come with 140mm travel.
The 2018 Overvolt AM models are equipped with Lapierre's own internal stealth dropper seat post. You can raise & lower the seat at the flick of a switch on the handlebars, whilst on the move. Thus adjustable for both uphill and downhill riding with minimal effort.
The Maxxis tyres grip the trail with a High Roller on the front and a Rekon specific rear tyre. These are fully tubeless compatible out of the box.
The Overvolt AM 627i if specified with the Sram NX system offering the same same smooth and reliable shifting of it's bigger brother with the 12 tooth X-SYNC pulley wheels.
The X-HORIZON design reduces chain slap and the shifting force offering a smooth reliable setup.
You'll notice the new huge 11 speed cassette which offers an incredible 11 to 46t setup meaning this is a huge range for climbing and descending on an electric mountain bike!
The sleek lines, 160mm of trail eating travel and neat internal battery integration really finish off the Lapierre Overvolt 627i for 2018. Want more? This bike is also available in XT spec and even XT Di2 with electronic gear setup and Factory suspension on the 927i.
Shimano Steps E8000 eMTB System
Lapierre have developed the new range of Overvolt eBikes to offer the Shimano E8000 eMTB system. Lapierre use Shimano's renowned motor drive system, but have developed their own battery technology called 'Snake Power Technology'. This is Lapierre's own exclusive design.
The new Shimano Steps system has been developed specifically around eMTBing and offers a long range 500Wh battery which Lapierre have fully integrated into the Overvolt 627i down tube offering stealth fitment and a lower centre of gravity. The battery is actually 'bendy' so it only needs a small port to get the battery in and out. It's a Lapierre specific integration and also increases frame rigidity.
Alongside a newly developed 2018 MTB drive unit capable of assisting up to 70Nm of torque to the rider and operating up to high cadence RPM ranges. The assistance outputs are adjustable as the rider can set and change the assistance mode whilst riding on the fly with 3 options – Eco, Trail & Boost visible on the LCD display panel.

This electric bike comes fully set-up by our workshop technicians. You can be sure that every aspect of the eBike has been dialled in for optimum performance. All our electric bikes arrive with a user manual, keys, charger & free follow up service within 3 months.
Our electric bikes also include a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics & 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims in-house. We can also offer worldwide support for customers further afield using a laptop or PC connected to the internet, combined with our diagnostic equipment.
E-bikeshop is a UK Shimano Electric Bike Service Center and our in house workshop is now exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We also have parts / spares to hand should they be required.
