Who is this bike suitable for?
The 2016 Lapierre Overvolt 900 features 140 / 150mm of travel and the new Bosch CX performance motor. This full suspension electric bike is a great all rounder for general All Mountain / Trail Center / XC / Free Ride use. The Lapierre Overvolt FS 900 eMTB takes on its own breed of performance electric mountain biking.
What an amazing bit of kit. Had the bike for a month now, I have never had so much fun out in the woods in the mud and it also acts a great commuter bike for getting to work and back occasionally. Originally I contacted e-bike shop and spoke to Martin and he was extremely helpful, he sent me links of videos etc for every question I had so I would fully understand. I couldn't recommend this company enough 10/10..
New Features
Lapierre have been working hard to create the ultimate all mountain eBike for 2016 - Say hello to the new Overvolt!
Utilizing their already proven OST+ geometry and design skills from the Lapierre Zesty & Spicy range the new Overvolt FS 900 takes it to a whole new level for the 2016 range.
Lapierre's very own Nico Vouilloz (10 times MTB World Champion) has tweaked the design of this eMTB to keep it performing above the rest when it comes to off road performance.
The 2016 Lapierre Overvolt FS 900 features the new RockShox Monarch rear shock and Pike RC fork to match.
The Monarch RT shock is air pressure adjustable to the riders weight and this new design offers silky smooth travel and due to it's lightweight design handles the bumps better than ever!
Rockshox offers rider flexibility with the 'Pedal' function on the Monarch RT where the shock will remain fairly solid whilst pedalling to maintain efficiency. This ultimate trail fork was requested back into the market by 1000's of riders and considered to be the best fork possible in it's class.
Up front we see the new RockShox Pike RC fully air adjustable fork is built on 150mm travel and 35mm stanchions for ultimate stiffness and strength.
The unique Dual Position Air (DPA) setting allows the rider a selectable travel setting, so you can reduce it when riding lighter terrain.
This along with the lockout compression settings eman it's one of the most versatile / adjustable forks on the market.
Lapierre have opted for the brand new Sram Guide brakes, which replace the Avid X0 trail brakes we were previously used to. These twin piston beauty's offer superior amounts of stopping power, with minimal fade across long descents.
These are built on double wall rims, sealed through axle hubs and built with toughness in mind to handle even harsher all mountain conditions.
They keep the grip levels up with a Maxxis High Roller 2 on the front and match the rear with a Maxxis Arendt tyre.
This ensures good handling up front and extra grip at the rear, so now you can tackle climbs in the slipperiest of terrain. Although they come as standard with tubes, these tyres are fully tubeless compatible from stock.
Lapierre have finished off the 2016 FS 900 with the brand new Sram XX1 11 speed drivetrain, which gives a staggering 10-42 teeth range, this allows the largest gear range possible on an 11 speed mountain bike.
So no longer are the climbs a killer as you have both the gearing and the assistance to take care of it.
All in all Lapierre have done a great job on the new Overvolt FS 900. It has a higher spec and all new gearing and suspension. This 150mm travel bike will be very popular considering the price it comes in at and the huge specification on offer for 2016!
Bosch CX & Intuvia eBike System
The new Lapierre Overvolt FS 900 2016 eBike also features the latest Bosch Performance CX crank drive motor, so you can be sure it's fitted with the latest kit and setup for optimum performance.
The new 250w CX system outputs 75Nm of torque & peaks at 500w! It certainly packs a punch, it will also offer up to 300% assistance on turbo mode.
Featuring 4 levels of assistance & remember you can always turn the power off and ride it as a normal bike!
This machine rolls just the same as a normal cycle. In fact the quality in the design, geometry & build make it a true performer! The Lapierre FS 900 features the brand new Bosch 500Wh PowerPack Battery for 2016 so it hosts the most range possible on a Bosch powered electric mountain bike.

This bike comes fully set-up by our workshop technicians. You can be sure that every aspect of the eBike has been dialled in for optimum performance. All our electric bikes arrive with a user manual, keys, charger & free follow up service within 3 months.
Our electric bikes also include a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics & 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims in-house. We can also offer worldwide support for customers further afield using a laptop or PC connected to the internet, combined with our diagnostic equipment.
E-bikeshop is a UK Bosch Electric Bike Service Center and our in house workshop is now exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We also have parts / spares to hand should they be required.
