New for 2016 a whole new level of Lapierre Overvolt is unleashed! The new Yamaha powered Lapierre SX 800 bike with 170mm of travel and high spec components, this eBike is a trail eater suitable for ALL UK trail centers, all mountain and bike parks.
Once we got used to the helping hand and rapid acceleration of the electric assist, the SX800 was a riot, taking winch and plummet to the next level. New Features
Lapierre have been working hard to create the ultimate Yamaha trail eBike for 2016 - Say hello to the new Overvolt!
Utilizing their already proven OST+ geometry and design skills from the Lapierre Zesty & Spicy range the new Overvolt SX 800 takes it to a whole new level for 2016.
Lapierre's very own Nico Vouilloz (10 times MTB World Champion) has tweaked the design of this eMTB to keep it performing above the rest when it comes to off road performance.
Lapierre have opted for the new Fox Float DPS shock on the SX 800 for 2016. It features 3 stages of adjustment for on-the-fly rider adjustment. This Dual Piston System allows for the shock to be completely locked out, left completely open or the mid stage allows maximum efficiency but gives as required when riding over bumpier terrain.
This adjustability gives full control over varied terrain.
Lapierre have equipped this ultimate trail bike with the new Fox 36 Float 170mm travel forks. Big enough to take on any descent without compromising overall climbing and riding efficiency. These burly forks offer stiff 36mm stanchions with the 3 position lever setting like the Fox rear shock mentioned above.
The Overvolt SX 800 2016 wheels are 27.5" (650B), so optimize the benefits of both 26" & 29" and combine them into one fast rolling, easy to manoeuvre wheel size.
For 2016 these are built on Mavic double wall rims, sealed on Formula through axle hubs and built with toughness in mind to handle even harsher all mountain conditions.
They keep the grip levels up with a Maxxis High Roller 2 tyres. Ensuring great level of grip at even faster speeds than before. Although they come as standard with tubes, these tyres are fully tubeless compatible from stock.
Lapierre have opted for the brand new Sram Guide brakes, which replace the Avid X0 trail brakes we were previously used to. These twin piston beauty's offer superior amounts of stopping power, with minimal fade across long descents.
A fully matched drivetrain and brake system on the SX 800 pairs everything up perfectly. This bike is insanely specced for the price. There's not much we'd change its ready to hit the mountain straight off the shelf.
Lapierre have equipped the 2016 SX 800 with the brand new Sram GX 11 speed drivetrain, which gives a staggering 10-42 teeth range, this allows the largest gear range possible on an 11 speed electric mountain bike.
So no longer are the climbs a killer as you have both the gearing and the assistance to take care of it.
We also see an integral KS dropper post so you can have full saddle height control whilst blasting the trails at the flick of a switch on the handlebars.
Lapierre have added some great kit, it comes as standard with a brilliant selection of the latest components. Even Nico has added his touch to the handlebars with his signature 780mm wide bars.

Yamaha eBike System
The new Lapierre Overvolt SX 800 2016 eBike is powered by the latest Yamaha electric bike system. Lapierre has partnered with Yamaha to bring a brand new line of eMTB's, this powerful 250w motor offers up to 280% assistance and peaks at 80Nm of torque.
The power curve comes in early and is responsive as soon as you touch the pedals. The new assistance is set in 4 levels for 2016 - 'Eco+', 'Eco', 'Standard' & 'High'. This allows the user to fine tune the amount of assistance required during the ride offering complete flexibility and control.
The 2016 Yamaha system uses a 400Wh battery, now with an assisted range of up to 90 miles due to the new Eco+ assistance mode. The Overvolt SX 800 2016 eBike is offered with the largest 400Wh Yamaha battery to give a full day's ride time.
The Yamaha eBike battery can be quickly recharged in a matter of hours and the new LCD display shows not just how much capacity the battery holds but also the predicted range in assisted miles. The charger now boasts an even smaller shell for 2016.

This bike comes fully set-up by our workshop technicians. You can be sure that every aspect of the eBike has been dialled in for optimum performance. All our electric bikes arrive with a user manual, keys, charger & free follow up service within 3 months.
Our electric bikes also include a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics & 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims in-house. We can also offer remote worldwide support.
E-bikeshop is a UK Yamaha Electric Bike Service Center and our in house workshop is now exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We also have parts / spares to hand should they be required.
