New Features
The hugely popular 'Hidden Power' eMTB's from Moustache in 2018 incorporate the Bosch battery in the frame, but still easily removable for charging both on or off the bike.
From drawings on paper to 3D printing to alloy frames in reality, Moustache developed this new setup for 2 years to create the perfect solution to Bosch eBike integration.
The new Bosch CX motor is tilted and mounted in gravity castings within the carbon frame with the perfect 'Q factor' and playful geometry for 2018.
Whilst the Bosch Performance 500Wh battery is cleverly located in the carbon down tube, offering a lower centre of gravity and 'Hidden Power' seamless look over the longer Bosch 'InTube' batteries. They ride as nice as they look!..
All the integrated full suspension models from Moustache for 2018 are 27.5+. What's PLUS all about? This revelation hitting the cycling industry by storm offer a wider 3" tyre for ultimate traction, comfort & grip. Without compromising on rolling resistance.
Moustache have developed their own exclusive 35mm wide rim to take the new tyre size which is fully tubeless compatible and capable of achieving the perfect balance between stability and cornering ability.
The stoppers on the Moustache Race 8 are provided by Magura's MT5 4 piston hydraulic disc brakes. The 2 finger lever offers good control for the front tandem rider.
The new Carbontecture construction brings the overall weight down while maintaining optimal braking performance.
Built on larger 200mm disc rotors at the front and 180mm on the rear to make sure the Race 8 can stop as fast as it accelerates on the trails.
Minimal maintenance and fuss. Aside from changing the brake pads from time to time you can fit and forget, just concentrate on the ride!
The Monarch Plus shock on the back of the Samedi Race 8 is air pressure adjustable to the riders weight and this new design offers silky smooth travel and due to it's lightweight design handles the bumps better than ever!
The Monarch Plus comes as standard with the compression adjustment where the rider can move the lever from soft to firm for on-the-fly adjustment is riding mixed terrain.
Up front we see the new FOX Float 36 Performance forks, for 2018 in 'eBike Optimised' specific format with a solid crown and enhanced head tube. This offers superior control and steering on a slightly heavier eBike. The stiff 36mm stations allow for minimal flex whilst offering a true 160mm of trail and enduro travel.
Moustache tested Sram's EX1 specific drive train to the max and discovered whilst the rear mech was specifically designed for eBikes, the cassette could do with more range.
They set the rear mech up with a wide range 11 speed cassette (11-50t in fact!) combined with the Sram GX 12 speed triggers and found it gave the best mix of versatility in range and shifting control.
Moustache couple this with their optimised 14t sprocket up front for the perfect combination of descending and hill climbing capability on all the 2018 Samedi eMTB's.
Also offered up with their newly designed and reinforced cranks with a better Q factor and ultimate stiffness.
The Race 8 is pretty much based on the Race 9 Carbon model but built on an Alloy frame instead of the Carbon fibre. Offered with a great group set and highest performing Bosch CX motor drive system for 2018. The colour on this bike looks fantastic too!
Bosch CX & Purion eBike System
The new Moustache Samedi Race 8 2018 eBike's feature the latest Bosch Performance CX crank drive motor, so you can be sure it's fitted with the latest kit and setup for optimum performance.
The 250w CX system outputs 75Nm of torque & peaks at 500w! It certainly packs a punch, it will also offer up to 300% assistance in turbo mode. Featuring 4 levels of assistance & remember you can always turn the power off and ride it as a normal bike! In addition, the new eMTB mode allows the user to set in one assistance mode and the system itself will determine the assistance offered.
This machine rolls just the same as a normal cycle. In fact the quality in the design, geometry & build make it a true performer! The Samedi Race 8 eMTB features the larger capacity Bosch 500Wh Battery for 2018 so it hosts the most range possible on any Bosch powered electric mountain bike.
For 2018 Moustache have equipped the new Bosch Purion display, a revised smaller dash that offers quick vision of essential parameters whilst occupying a minimal amount of cockpit space.

This electric bike comes fully set-up by our workshop technicians. You can be sure that every aspect of the eBike has been dialled in for optimum performance. All our electric bikes arrive with a user manual, keys, charger & free follow up service within 3 months.
Our electric bikes also include a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics & 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims in-house. We can also offer worldwide support for customers further afield using a laptop or PC connected to the internet, combined with our diagnostic equipment.
E-bikeshop is a UK Bosch Electric Bike Service Center and our in house workshop is now exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We also have parts / spares to hand should they be required.
