Description
The Orbea Wild FS H30 2023 is the entry level but very well equipped alloy frame model of the Wild FS range. The Bosch Generation 4 85Nm motor, brand new Bosch Smart System displays and high quality Shimano components make the H30 a very well thought out entry level model.
This 160mm travel bike uses the 4th Generation Bosch Performance CX system with a 625Wh battery, newly updated eMTB mode and increased 85Nm of torque and the brand new Smart System with their new LED Remote and display system. Built for all terrain, all mountain, single track and trail riding on a fantastic geometry platform, It's tough enough for even the most technical of trails but remains light enough for cross country too, using 29" wheels to offer excellent rollover even on rough terrain.

Bike is lovely. I had a couple of issues that Ben the sales manager went above and beyond to help me out with.
I have now done 120 off-road miles on very hill terrain on this bike. Climbs like a mountain goat with as much or little effort as you choose. Descends very quickly and the monster width tyres allow you do this with minimal skill level.
I managed 40 mile + on each trip with battery power remaining. Bike looks great and is finished well and with half decent components. I have added bard ends, old fashioned I know but then I am an old rider. Shimano clipless pedals allow for pulling up as well as the normal pushing and my preferred method of pedalling.
If I could change anything that would be the non-removable battery that means the battery charges in the garage in cold conditions, something the manual suggest against. Also means that I cannot go on a mulit-day trips and charge it in a B & B. I'd have the cable externally routed rather than through the headset as this will only make future maintenance a hassle or expensive if using a dealer but other than that Obea have done an excellent job and I look forward to many more trips.
