Who is this bike suitable for?
The Orbea Wild FS M20 2021 is the entry level Carbon model of the Wild FS range. This 160mm travel bike uses the latest 4th Generation Bosch Performance CX system with a 625Wh battery. Built for all terrain, all mountain, single track and trail riding on a great geometry platform, it's tough enough for more demanding trails yet light enough for cross country too, with 29" wheels to offer excellent rollover on rough terrain.
I was sceptical I could ascend a local very steep hill sitting down but I did and in torrentially wet conditions. The ability to have traction and ‘accelerate’ through hairpin bends whilst ascending is unique, as is the lower centre of gravity which feel much safer and more controlled on steeper descents. All in all it is an amazing piece of kit.
New Features
The base spec Carbon model Wild FS M20 2021 features the very latest and most powerful Bosch Gen 4 Performance CX motor & 625Wh battery.
Equipped with the 2021 Fox Float DPS EVOL rear shock, which offers 3-Way adjustable lockout and air compression, you can also adjust the rebound damping externally.
With the Dual Piston System, the rider can lock out, ride fully open, or select the mid stage mode to conserve energy, whilst still providing great cushioning under pressure.
It's also air pressure adjustable depending for rider weight. At the front, Orbea have equipped the new Fox Float 38 Performance Fork with the 3-Position GRIP Damper.
This new damper offers a more simplified closed cartridge system than the FIT4 used in other Fox forks, providing a much more consistent feel compared to open dampers which are usually cheaper to manufacture.
New Geometry
Designed to give new riders more comfort and stability, whilst for more experienced riders
a bike that doesn't hold them back, regardless of terrain.
Blocklock Headset
The Blocklock headset protects the Wild FS frame by preventing the fork crown from impacting.
This not only protects the carbon frame but also keeps the cables safe from bar spins too.
Battery Cover
Offering a simple solution to battery integration and allows for easy removal for charging too.
Range Extender
Orbea have built the Wild FS to allow for an optional second battery to be fitted for optimum range, allowing the rider up to a maximum capacity of 1125Wh!

This key can be stored within the specially designed key storage above the stem.

Full Carbon Frame
Well proven on their 2020 model, the 2021 Wild FS M20 features a Carbon front triangle with an alloy rear triangle. This frame set incorporates some great design choices and forethought. A bottle cage mounting as standard, integral key holder, frame mouted charge port as well as the option for a dual battery configuration, allowing for up to 1125Wh battery capacity. With the light, smooth frame and Internal cable routing the Wild FS turns heads wherever it goes.
All this combined with the lighter, more powerful Gen 4 Performance CX motor!
The Orbea Wild FS M20 2021 once again grips the trails with Maxxis Minion tyres. These tubeless ready tyres feature the 3C MaxxTerra compound, giving excellent traction whilst offering better wear than the 3C MaxxGrip compound.
The 29" wheels offer up excellent rollover through rough terrain, whilst the modern geometry ensures the M20 stays nimble even in tighter sections.
Orbea are again supplying the M20 with the DT Swiss H-1900 Spline 30c wheelset. These 30mm wide rims offer an ideal profile for the ever increasing choice of wider tyres.
As is standard with Fox suspension, the 38 Float Performance forks progression can still be adjusted with volume spacers to fine tune the fork to rider preference.
Orbea have spec'd the Wild FS M20 2021 with the new Shimano MT420 hydraulic disc brakes, which have been developed with eMTB in mind. These four pot brakes offer solid performance for a "Deore" series price point.
The brake levers offer the same comfortable lever design found with other Shimano brakes, offering easy reach adjustment with just an allen key.
You can be sure they'll stop you as quickly as you accelerate on this eBike. Minimal maintenance and fuss. Aside from changing the brake pads from time to time you can fit & forget.
Orbea have designed the Wild FS M20 to maximise value in an ever more competitive market and its back with an incredible spec for 2021, with the same longer reach than older generation Wild FS models and some clever integration, such as storage for the battery key within the fork steerer. The Wild FS models are also able to run a secondary battery using a dual battery connection, allowing for a whopping 1125Wh of capacity.
Other clever design points such as the "bump stops" in the headset and the downtube really show the attention to detail the design team have taken with the Wild FS range. These bump stops allow for 164 degrees of fork movement whilst helping to prevent damage in the event of a crash. The design allows for plenty of steering movement to ensure this is not a hindrance to the rider, whilst giving additional peace of mind.
The Orbea Wild FS M20 2021 features the brand new Shimano XT M8120 12-Speed Derailleur, an SLX M7100 shifter and a Sunrace E-bike specific cassette for improved durability.
This combination between XT and SLX components saves some grams whilst keeping a keen price point and a dependable group set.
With a whopping 11-51t setup you'll be sure there's no climb or descent you cant tackle!
Shimano's ShadowPlus friction operated clutch ensures a stable drive train even in rough terrain, offering precise and quiet shifting.

Bosch CX & Purion eBike System
The new Orbea Wild FS M20 2021 eBike features the new Gen 4 Bosch Performance CX crank drive motor, so you can be sure it's fitted with the latest kit & setup for optimum performance.
The 250w CX system now outputs an increased 85Nm of torque & peaks at 500W! In Eco mode, its set up for all day rides on any terrain but when you need it, it will also offer up to 340% assistance in turbo mode. In addition, the newly overhauled eMTB mode allows the user to set off in one assistance mode and the on board computer itself will determine the assistance offered based on rider input.
The Wild M20 features new 'PowerTube' Bosch 625Wh battery technology for 2021. Completely integrated into the frame, Orbea have neatly designed it so it can be charged both on & off the bike.
The 2021 Bosch Purion display is neat & compact. Riders can see important factors like speed, distance and battery range on the screen.

Our electric bikes also include a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics & 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims in-house. We can also offer worldwide support for customers further afield using a laptop or PC connected to the internet, combined with our diagnostic equipment.
E-bikeshop is a UK Bosch Electric Bike Service Center and our in house workshop is now exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We also have parts / spares to hand should they be required.
