Raleigh's new 2023 Lowstep uses the Bosch Active Line motor, a 400Wh battery and large and easy to read and operate Purion display.
With a relaxed, very comfortable and posture pleasing upright seating position and style, the Motus Lowstep models offer a confidence building riding style for new ebike riders with its predictable but direct handling at their lowest possible price point.

The Raleigh Motus Lowstep is a "rollover" model for Raleigh.
While the rest of the Motus model range saw a huge overahaul for 2023, this came with a bump in price to cover the research, development and material costs which rose significantly during the 2021 and 2022 model years.
Keen to remain a competitive brand, Raleigh chose to continue production of their last generation frame set for those who prefer better value than keeping up with current frame style trends.

Brakes & Gears
The Raleigh Motus Lowstep 2023 models are equipped with Tektro T825 hydraulic disc brakes both front and rear. These offer solid on and off-road performance with easy reach adjustment.
These levers and calipers, paired with 160mm rotors at the front and back of the bike offer exceptional bite and great modulation, making them a great choice for a variety of terrain and riding styles. Hydraulic brakes are now very much standard on top quality ebikes, taking just a small amount of pressure to generate a stronger stopping force.
The Shimano Altus 7 speed derailleur system offers a low maintenance but high level of design, quality and function in an complete, integrated gearing package.
Hydraulic brakes are a staple of newer town and city style bikes, where reliability and longevity are key.
Shimano 7 speed gearing offers a wide range of ratio choice for climbing hills or top speed on flat ground.
Easy to use trigger shifters seamlessly flick through the 11-34t cassette.

Wheels & Tyres
Raleigh have used their own factory rims on the Motus Lowstep models for 2023 with Shimano hubs and 700c rims. The 36mm wide rims offer the ability to fit a wide choice of tyres.
Raleigh always offer a top quality tyre on their bikes, and the Mitas 700C is no exception. Predominantly aimed at paved road use, it'll stand up to light gravel paths and the occasional byway, if thats where you happen to end up!

Although the Raleigh Motus model line continues for the 2023 model year, it will retain its reputation for being a solidly built and ultra reliable bike from one of the UK's oldest biking brands.

Power
The new 2023 Raleigh Motus Lowstep eBike features the Bosch Active Line crank drive motor, 400Wh PowerPack frame mounted battery and Purion display system.
The 250w Active Line Plus system outputs 50Nm of torque and peaks at over 500w! It certainly packs a punch, offering up to 270% assistance in turbo mode. Featuring 4 levels of assistance (and remember you can always turn the power off and ride it as a normal bike) ranging from 40 to 270% assistance.
The Motus Lowstep features the 'PowerPack' Bosch 400Wh battery. Securely mounted on the frame, it's neatly designed it so it can be charged both on and off the bike.
For 2023 Raleigh have equipped the Purion display, offering all the essential parameters on one easy to read display, including:- Speed, assistance mode, average, speed, range, odometer and battery bar.
The bright, easy to read and use Bosch Purion display is effortlessly simple to use and offers the rider "at-a-glance" speed, power mode and battery information.
The Bosch Active Line motor is as synonymous with Raleigh as they are with the UK bike industry and is ultra-reliable.
The Bosch PowerPack 400Wh battery is neatly integrated but can be removed from the bike for charging if required. A key lock function holds the battery securely in place.
What's included
Your new electric bike gets a full set-up by our workshop technicians ahead of delivery.
Your eBike will arrive with a user manual, keys (where applicable), charger & free follow up service (at our service center) within 3 months of delivery.
This electric bikes includes a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics and 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims via our dedicated support in-house.
E-Bikeshop is a UK Electric Bike Service Center and our in-house workshop is exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We have time to support the eBikes we sell.

We can talk you through your requirements, riding style and offer expert advice as to which model to select.
We generally keep over 150 eBikes built in our showroom. Note: Some models shown as 'Pre-Order' may not be in the showroom to view as the bike is still due from the supplier. We can also give you the opportunity to ride a similar electric bike so you can get a feel for how electric bikes work prior to purchase.
Should you wish to purchase, we give the option to take it away that same day (subject to stock) with any extras fitted and a handover session on the bike itself by one of our eBike experts.

For delivery on 'Pre-Order' items, the estimated arrival date is shown at the point of order. On arrival our team will make contact to settle any outstanding balance. Once settled in full, we'll then proceed to dispatch your new eBike without delay.
