Who is this bike suitable for?
The new Scott E-Spark 720 2016 is eBike is built for trail riding. It's the younger brother to the 710, so the same chassis and electrical system but slightly lower specification. With 120mm travel the Scott E-Spark 720 is ideal for local trail centers / XC rides / Free Ride & anything else you can throw at it! Popular for new eMTB'ers after a comfortable machine.
After doing a lot of research into electric bikes and visiting a number of dealers, my wife and I were impressed with the knowledge and advice given at e-bikeshop, we did experience a technical problem with one of the bikes, but with e-bikeshop's service, they went the extra mile to ensure that the problem was resolved quickly leaving us as very happy customers
New Features
The new Scott E-Spark 720 2016 is the entry level 120mm full susser in the new Scott Bosch CX powered eMTB range. With a refined chassis and the new Bosch CX drive & extended 500Wh power pack for longer days in the saddle.
For 2016 the E-Spark 720 is offered up with a new X-Fusion Nude custom rear shock. This shock has custom tuned rebound and damping settings to compliment the bike.
Both front and rear shock is air adjustable for the riders weight and has the 3 stages of lockout adjustment.
Interestingly, Scott also allow the user 2 stages for the shock to operate. The quick chip on the rear linkage can be flipped to the riders liking, offering a low & high BB setting depending on the terrain - offering full control on the 2016 Scott electric bikes.
The E-Spark 720 2016 is offered up with full Shimano Deore hydraulic disc brakes & SLX 10 speed drivetrain to match, utilising a smooth wide ratio gear system for plenty of options both up and downhill.
Shimano hydraulic disc brakes are utilized for true stopping power and minimal maintenance.
These brakes are mounted on larger rotors for more braking performance over mixed terrain.
We see a strong wheelset on the E-Spark 720 using the most modern of wheel sizes - 27.5". Offering the benefits of both 26" & 29" in one wheel size the 27.5" roll over obstacles well whilst retaining full rider control in tighter areas.
For 2016 the wheels are built using a Shimano Deore front and Formula rear hubs. These are laced onto strong yet lightweight Syncros X23 alloy double wall disc specific rims.
For 2016 Scott have introduced a new tyre from German tyre manufacturer - Schwalbe. These new tyres have evolved from 2 popular previous tyres merged. The Schwalbe Rapid Rob & Racing Ralph tyres are now married into the new Tough Tom!
Scott have specified the new 2016 RockShox Silver TK 120mm travel forks on the E-Spark. A good compromise of trail efficiency and budget.
The RockShox Silver TK's offer a fully lightweight and air adjustable fork, whilst maintaining rider lockout controls and rebound adjust.
This adjustment is normally adjusted down on the forks / shock itself, but Scott have an exclusive remote TwinLoc lever design mounted up on the handlebars.
Finished with decent Syncros bars and stem, coupled with a fantastic Syncros saddle mean minimal alterations and it's ready to ride out of the box. A great way into eMTB'ing offered on a full suspension chassis and good components at a reasonable price! Want FOX suspension and an upgrade on brakes and gear system? Bosch CX & Intuvia eBike System
The new Scott E-Spark 720 2016 eBike also features the latest Bosch Performance CX crank drive motor, so you can be sure it's fitted with the latest kit and setup for optimum performance.
The new 250w CX system outputs 75Nm of torque & peaks at 500w! It certainly packs a punch, it will also offer up to 300% assistance on turbo mode.
Featuring 4 levels of assistance & remember you can always turn the power off and ride it as a normal bike!
This machine rolls just the same as a normal cycle. In fact the quality in the design, geometry & build make it a true performer! The E-Spark 720 features the brand new Bosch 500Wh PowerPack Battery for 2016 so it hosts the most range possible on a Bosch powered electric mountain bike.

This bike comes fully set-up by our workshop technicians. You can be sure that every aspect of the eBike has been dialled in for optimum performance. All our electric bikes arrive with a user manual, keys, charger & free follow up service within 3 months.
Our electric bikes also include a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics & 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims in-house. We can also offer worldwide support for customers further afield using a laptop or PC connected to the internet, combined with our diagnostic equipment.
E-bikeshop is a UK Bosch Electric Bike Service Center and our in house workshop is now exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We also have parts / spares to hand should they be required.
