I have just returned from my first 'ride', testing the bike and am tickled pink! Had a bit of an issue with the power supply until I remembered to turn on the battery!
New Features
The new Scott E-Sub Tour electric bike for 2017 is fully spec'd with all the necessities you could need for longer distance touring / commuting.
For 2017 Scott have equipped full Shimano Deore hydraulic disc brakes & a Shimano Deore 10 speed drive train to match, utilising a smooth wide ratio gear system for plenty of options both up and downhill.
These Shimano hydraulic disc brakes to ensure the descents come to a stop where needed, with good braking performance and minimal maintenance.
Whilst we are on maintenance, aside from keeping it clean and oiling the chain from time to time, there is not actually that much else too it!
Scott have built the 2017 E-Sub Tour on a strong wheel set using decent Shimano hubs, these are laced onto strong, yet lightweight Rodi double wall alloy trekking rims.
The keep this bike rolling fast, Scott have offered this eBike with a German tyre - Continental Cruise contact. These are faster rolling and offer superior amounts of grip due a 47c wider profile.
The new Scott E-Sub Tour comes with the Suntour suspension fork. This fork features a lock out so the user can always maintain maximum efficiency whilst climbing or riding on more moderate terrain.
Scott has really kitted out with everything you could need on the E-Sub Tour, for your commute or leisurely ride.
This includes essentials like a comfy saddle, integrated lighting system front and rear which are built into the Bosch eBike system with light activation switch & comfortable ergonomic grips.
The E-Sub Tour also offers full length mudguards, built in rear lock assemble and chain guard. A handy, sturdy & retractable kickstand, and luggage pannier rack on the rear.
This Scott eBike is really well designed, from the internal cable routing to the Battery position on the Unisex version, notice how it's centrally located in the frame to allow an even weight distribution and keep the centre of gravity low. All for 'sub' £2k - Excuse the pun!
Bosch Active Line System
The new Scott E-Sub Tour eBikes also feature the latest Bosch Active electric bike crank drive motor, so you can be sure it's fitted with the latest kit and setup for optimum performance.
This system outputs 48Nm of torque & peaks at 500w! It certainly packs a punch, it also offers up to 225% assistance on turbo mode, while Eco mode offers a more subtle 50% assistance.
There are 4 levels of assistance and remember you can always turn it off completely and ride it as a normal bike!
This machine rolls just the same as a normal cycle.
Finally finished up with the higher capacity Bosch 400Wh battery for a full day in the saddle on the Scott E-Sub Tour for 2017.

This electric bike comes fully set-up by our workshop technicians. You can be sure that every aspect of the eBike has been dialled in for optimum performance. All our electric bikes arrive with a user manual, keys, charger & free follow up service within 3 months.
Our electric bikes also include a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics & 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims in-house. We can also offer worldwide support for customers further afield using a laptop or PC connected to the internet, combined with our diagnostic equipment.
E-bikeshop is a UK Bosch Electric Bike Service Center and our in house workshop is now exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We also have parts / spares to hand should they be required.
