The 2021 Scott Ransom eRIDE 920 is the mid-specification ebike option in the new 2021 Scott Ransom range. The the non-eBike version of the Ransom having won every test it was featured in, there was nothing left for Scott to do but create an eBike from the Ransom model range! Built on a 180mm travel alloy frame setup, the new Scott Ransom eRIDE 920 suits a novice to intermediate rider happy riding their local trailing during the week, while still retaining the ability to deal with the really technical stuff at bike parks at the weekend.

New Features
The new Scott Ransom eRide 920 features the all new for 2021 Fox Float X2 rear shock. An award winning, gravity defying air shock with a huge list of features, if offers an almost infinite amount of adjustability.
The new Float X2 is air adjustable for rider weight, as well as individual dials for both low and high speed compression and low speed rebound. High speed rebound now comes with Fox's Variable Valve Control.
At the front of the bike, the 2021 Ransom eRide 920 ships with Rockshox ZEB 38mm forks. Featuring DebonAir and Charger 2.1 technology, the new ZEB fork is equipped to compete against the very top forks in the 180mm travel offering.
The new Scott Ransom 920 comes complete with "Flip-chip" technology - allowing for a super quick geometry switch and the option to run either as a 29" set up (standard), or in 27.5" format - retaining the same bottom bracket height, regardless of wheel set used. The bike ships with 29" wheels as standard.
The 2021 Scott Ransom 920 arrives pre-fitted with a Syncros Duncan dropper post with full internal cable routing. The dropper post provides fully adjustable seat height with the flick of a switch on the handlebars.
The Deore MT520 brakes are a great value component offering superior bite and modulation with a trail proven 4 piston set up and fully adjustable levers.
4 piston brakes are a real bonus for downhill riding on eBike, which carry more weight than an ordinary bike - combined with front and rear 203mm rotors, they increase the initial bite and stopping power while suffering from less overheating therefore fade, on longer descents.
Scott have equipped the Ransom 920 2021 with a Maxxis Assegai 29x2.6" tyre at the front and Maxxis Dissector 29x2.6" at the rear. With 30 years racing and 50 years of tyre manufacturing culminating in the combination of the 3C MaxxTerra compound and EXO+ puncture protection, the tubeless ready tyres on the Ransom comes prepared for any terrain. Wrapped onto custom Syncros X-30S tubeless ready rims built onto Formula Boost alloy hubs, these are exclusive to the Scott electric mountain bike range.
The 2021 Scott Ransom E-Ride 920 features SRAM's newest Eagle SX 12-Speed drivetrain. This new group set from SRAM offers an unparalleled width of gear ratio, allowing riders to tackle any type of terrain with ease.
With a huge 10-52t cassette you can be completely confident that there is absolutely nothing you cant climb, but you wont be held back on the flat open ground either.
Using a type 3 roller clutch bearing means there's a smoother torque curve for quieter more precise gear shifting too.
The new cage design on the Sram SX rear mech features a lock, which allows the rear mech to be held back when inserting/removing the rear wheel. Making any wheel removal a breeze!
The Scott Ransom eRIDE 920 2021 is the mid spec Ransom in the Scott range of just two eMTB versions for this model year. If you're looking for a higher spec version of the 920 model, Scott also offer another alloy framed version - The Ransom eRide 910.
Bosch CX & Purion eBike System
The new Scott Ransom 920 eRIDE 2021 eBike features the latest Gen 4 Bosch Performance CX crank drive motor, so you can be sure it's fitted with the latest kit & setup for optimum performance.
With its latest update, the 250w CX system outputs 85Nm of torque & peaks at 500w! It certainly packs a punch, it will also offer up to 340% assistance in turbo mode. Featuring 4 levels of assistance & remember you can always turn the power off and ride it as a normal bike! In addition, the new eMTB mode allows the user to set in one assistance mode and the system itself will determine the assistance offered.
The Ransom 920 features the 'PowerTube' Bosch 625Wh battery for 2021. Completely integrated into the frame, Scott have neatly designed it so it can be charged both on & off the bike. The frame has been designed to also accommodate the larger 625Wh battery as well as the smaller and lighter 500Wh version.
The 2021 Bosch Purion display is neat & compact. Riders can see important factors like speed, distance and battery range on the screen.

This electric bike comes fully set-up by our workshop technicians. You can be sure that every aspect of the eBike has been dialled in for optimum performance. All our electric bikes arrive with a user manual, charger & free follow up service within 3 months.
Our electric bikes also include a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics & 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims in-house. We can also offer worldwide support for customers further afield using a laptop or PC connected to the internet, combined with our diagnostic equipment.
E-bikeshop is a UK Bosch Electric Bike Service Center and our in house workshop is now exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We also have parts / spares to hand should they be required.
