Who is this bike suitable for?
The Scott Sub Sport E-Ride 20 2021 is suitable for both leisure riders and commuters. A fully equipped hybrid bike built for both tarmac roads, paths tracks and trails. This one comes complete with a more powerful motor and a larger range 625Wh battery than it's younger brother. Be it a leisurely ride on a Sunday afternoon or a busy 9-5 commute during the week.

There are so many different ways to use the power settings so as to get a good workout. People routinely say things like " it's cheating" ! Well they couldn't be more wrong, I cycle about 70 miles a week which I really wouldn't be doing otherwise so I am much fitter than I was; but most of all it is just plain FUN. So my advice is get one and enjoy yourself.
New Features
The Scott Sub Sport E-Ride 20 features the latest Gen 4 Bosch Performance CX motor for 2021 which offers up to 350% assistance and a new improved torque of 85Nm. Not forgetting a wider range gearing and a larger capacity 625Wh Bosch battery pack located in the frame.
For 2021 Scott have equipped full Shimano Deore hydraulic disc brakes & a Shimano Deore 10 speed drive train to match.
These Shimano hydraulic disc brakes to ensure the descents come to a stop where needed, with good braking performance and minimal maintenance.
Whilst we are on maintenance, aside from keeping it clean and oiling the chain from time to time, there is not actually that much else too it!
Scott have built the Sub Sport E-Ride 20 2021 on decent Shimano hubs, these are laced onto strong, yet lightweight double wall alloy touring rims. The keep this bike rolling fast, Scott have offered this eBike with a German tyre - Schwalbe Energizer Plus. These are faster rolling and offer superior amounts of grip due a 50c wider profile.
To match the brakes Scott have equipped the Sub Sport 20 with a new Shimano Deore drivetrain. This drivetrain differes from the Sub Tour in that the Sub Sport gets a 10-speed, with wider gear ratios ranging from 11 to 42t it's a great all-rounder.
Scott has really kitted out with everything you could need on the Sub Sport 20 2021, for your commute or leisurely ride. This includes essentials like a comfy saddle, integrated lighting system front and rear which are built into the Bosch eBike system by use of the light activation switch.
The Sub Sport 20 also offers full length mudguards, built in rear lock assembly and chain guard. A handy, sturdy & retractable kickstand, and luggage pannier rack on the rear.
Finally this bike comes with Suntour suspension forks & comfortable ergonomic handlebar grips. This ensures a comfortable ride over longer distances. The saddle post is quick release so can be adjusted for a range of rider heights. With wide range gears, more powerful motor & a larger capacity 625Wh battery for 25% more range it's a sure contender for anyone looking for the 'full package'.
Bosch CX & Purion eBike System
The 2021 Scott Sub Sport 20 features the newest & most powerful Gen 4 Bosch Performance CX crank drive motor, so you can be sure it's fitted with the latest kit & setup for optimum performance.
The 250w Bosch Performance CX system outputs 85Nm of torque & peaks at 500w output It certainly packs a punch, it will also offer up to 340% assistance in turbo mode. Featuring 4 levels of assistance & remember you can always turn the power off and ride it as a normal bike! In addition, the new eMTB mode allows the user to set in one assistance mode and the system itself will determine the assistance offered.
The Scott Sub Sport 20 features the latest 'PowerTube' design Bosch 625Wh battery technology for 2021. Completely integrated into the frame for security and safety, Scott have cleverly designed it so it can be charged both on and off the bike.
The 2021 Bosch Purion display is neat & compact with a super crisp resolution monochrome LCD display, showing you all of what you need at a glace, allowing you to focus on your ride. Further information is available on a rotation of screens with just a single button press.

This electric bike comes fully set-up by our workshop technicians. You can be sure that every aspect of the eBike has been dialled in for optimum performance. All our electric bikes arrive with a user manual, keys, charger & free follow up service within 3 months.
Our electric bikes also include a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics & 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims in-house. We can also offer worldwide support for customers further afield using a laptop or PC connected to the internet, combined with our diagnostic equipment.
E-bikeshop is a UK Bosch Electric Bike Service Center and our in house workshop is now exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We also have parts / spares to hand should they be required.
