Who is this bike suitable for?
The Raleigh Motus Grand Tour Open is the bigger brother to the Motus Tour offering wider range gearing, the more powerful Bosch Active Line Plus eBike system and extended range with the 500Wh battery. Comfort upgrades inc Selle Royal custom saddle and suspension seat post. It's suitable for your everyday rider looking to cover some miles at the weekend or commute in the week.
This bike is everything I was hoping from an electric bike, after visiting the cycle show and months of reading ebike reviews I was a bit nervous of spending suh a lot of money. However after my first cycle ride on the Raleigh Motus I am 100% convinced that I have chosen the best bike for me and I love it. In summary, I couldn't be happier!..
New Features
Raleigh have teamed up with the German manufacturers Bosch to create a well specified Europe built crank drive bike.
The Tektro hydraulic disc brakes ensure the Motus Grand Tour electric bike comes to a stop where needed, with good braking performance and minimal maintenance.
Whilst we are on maintenance, aside from keeping it clean and oiling the chain from time to time, there is not actually that much else too it!
The Raleigh Motus Tour Open comes fully equipped with all the practical functions you would expect. Raleigh have opted to offer an eBike that you needn't add any extras. Well, maybe a helmet and a nice set of pannier bags?..
Featuring, Shimano Alivio 9 speed drive train on a derailleur gear setup, offering a wide range of gears.
The wheels feature decent hubs & Raleigh have used alloy double wall rims for superior strength and minimal weight.
The wheels on this model are 'quick release' front & rear. This means you can remove the wheels in seconds if required.
To glide you over some of the bumpier roads / terrain are Suntour's front suspension fork with 50mm of travel to take the zing out of the front end. The rear is covered by the comfort suspension seat post and gel saddle.
The semi wrap bars are natural to hold and combined with the adjustable stem and comfort grips allow the rider to get in the perfect position.
The Raleigh Motus Grand Tour Open includes a complete mudguard set, comfort saddle, ergonomic grips, adjustable stem, prop stand, pannier rack and puncture resistant tyres. It even has built in lights which are powered off the eBike system itself.
No bulbs or batteries to contend with, the lights are always ready for you. Also for this new model it has a built in chain guard, keeping the rider clean and no longer can trousers get caught.
Bosch Active Line Plus System
The new Raleigh Motus Grand Tour features the latest Bosch Active Line Plus eBike system. Offering a larger sprocket upfront with no internal gearing, this motor is much quieter and features little resistance when pedalling outside of the assistance.
The system is designed to be smooth and is around 30% more compact than the previous Active line. Offering further support up to 270% and peak torque levels of 50Nm this system offers smooth and subtle power delivery both around town and on longer rides alike.
The Bosch Intuvia display shows rider credentials at a glance whilst keeping the cockpit clean. It offers quick access to parameters and assistance modes. Also offering the 'Walk Assist' function and the ability to remove it from the bike when parked to immobilise the electrical system in case of theft.
The Raleigh Motus Grand Tour comes with a bigger 500Wh battery, offering an extra 25% range than the 400Wh Bosch battery. Support is delivered in 4 different assistance modes up to 15mph.

This bike comes fully set-up by our workshop technicians. You can be sure that every aspect of the eBike has been dialled in for optimum performance. All our electric bikes arrive with a user manual, keys, charger & free follow up service within 3 months.
Our electric bikes also include a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics & 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims in-house. We can also offer worldwide support for customers further afield using a laptop or PC connected to the internet, combined with our diagnostic equipment.
E-bikeshop is a UK Bosch Electric Bike Service Center and our in house workshop is now exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We also have parts / spares to hand should they be required.
