SUITABLE FOR?
RS or "Rider Synergy" is a newly developed rider experience concept aimed at enhancing the joy of traditional trail riding with a level of support and assistance designed to feel as "alive as your own body". The video to the right is a fantastic watch, highlighting the purest Spanish passion that went into the concept first featured on the Orbea Rise Alloy and Carbon framed models, but now features on the Orbea Urrun for 2023.
The brand new Urrun Alloy framed range of eBikes for 2023 are designed to be effortlessly minimalist, using no bulky or unnecessary components while bringing you closer to the trail and ride. A completely integrated system built on their 4 key elements of Power, Range, Interface and Weight.

A brand new concept with Shimano.
Armed with the well thought out concept and the dream of a "rider first" super-light all trail frame that delivers less "e" and more "Bike" to dramatically change the eMTB landscape, Orbea gained early access to the Shimano EP8 drive system and immediately realised it was the perfect solution to fit with their newly formed "RS" riding philosophy for the Rise range. Working directly alongside Shimano, Orbea have developed their own highly responsive and super-efficient RS firmware for the EP8 to make the best use of their newly designed electronics and battery system.
Weighing in at only 2.6KG and utilising their own proprietary software and electronics, the drive system delivers its peak output of 60Nm at cadences of 75-95rpm - right where experienced riders are at their own peak of power and efficiency.
The 2023 Orbea Urrun 30 is about as "un-fussy" as its possible to be, while retaining its "RS" philosophy.
Up front, the new Urrun 30 comes with the Marzocchi Bomber Z2 120mm forks. Working in harmony with the well thought out frame geometry, they offer a lightweight and ultra robust chassis with air spring comfort and adjustability.
This 'eMTB Approved' fork ensures ultimate stiffness where eMTB demands are tougher.
Brakes & Gears
Coming to a halt happens just as quickly as you can take off on the Urrun H30.
Orbea have equipped the Urrun 30 with Magura MT30 brakes. These highly popular anchors have been a staple for eBikes due to their exceptional braking force heading downhill on naturally heavier eBikes.
Levers are an all composite construction to further shave weight from the braking system, but retain exceptional performance in modulation with instantaneous rebound between actions.
The 2023 Orbea Urrun 30 spec continues its great value componentry path, to include a full Shimano Deore group set.
Setting new standards of drivetrain silencing, the Shadow Plud derailleurs, through decreased tension in the lower gear positions and an added bumper offer next to silent operation.
Larger 13t pulley wheels reduced overall provide better chain management while increasing efficiency.
The matching 11-46T cassette gives the rider an almost unparalleled range in ratio. Not only does it offer an unbelieve level of low range torque for the steeped of climbs, but the 11t bottom end means you wont be held back in top end speed either.
Magura MT30 brakes are straight from the top level parts shelf. Their 4 piston piston design offer incredible bite force and modulation.
Every trail bike needs limitless gear ratios and the 10 speed Shimano Deore group set is right at home on the Urrun.
When you have a cassette with the width of the Deore M4100 you need a shifter to easily glide through it. The i-Spec EV shifters make it light work.
Wheels & Tyres
Orbea have equipped the 2023 Urrun 30 with a set of their own OC1 29er TLR wheels. Tubless ready and pre-taped, they're the perfect light weight accompaniment to this lightweight hard tail.
To match the super lightweight wheel setup, Orbea fit their exclusive design Maxxis Rekon 2.40" 120TPI 3CMaxxTerra Exo+ TLR tyres.
The bottom line..
Weighing in at as little as 19kg, the 2023 Orbea Urrun was designed to provide assistance and peak torque inside the range of normal, high-quality trail riding componentry.
Lightning fast direction changes and playful handling aren't something normally associated with eBikes but with the sporty nature of the Urrun model range, it'll feel just like riding your conventional trail rig!
Absolutely everything was considered when shaving weight from the new Urrun range. Orbea, in the same way they did with Shimano for their custom EP8 tune, have worked directly with EThirteen to develop an exclusive alloy forged 32T chainring for the EP8, saving weight while keeping the perfect gearing.
You'll also find fitted to the 2023 Orbea Urrun range, their own custom tyre. Working in partnership with Maxxis, they've created an "EXO+" version of the Rekon trail tyre and this will remain an Orbea Exclusive.
Power
The new 2023 Orbea Urrun 30 features the latest Shimano EP8 motor, with a twist.
Working directly with Shimano in line with Orbea's brand new "RS Concept", the Shimano EP8 motor runs on their very own Orbea RS firmware. In keeping with their "Rider First" design philosophy, this unique to Orbea tuning of the EP8 motor software is designed with responsiveness and efficiency at the forefront of its level of assistance.
The EP8 motor fitted to the new 2023 Urrun models has a specifically designed power band that makes the bike feel alive underneath you, offering a smooth and highly responsive ride which directly echoes your own output and cadence with a peak output of 60Nm.

The Orbea Urrun 30 comes with the latest Bluetooth enabled Shimano EN600 Side Switch controller.
The uniquely tuned Shimano EP8 Motor in the 2023 Orbea Urrun 30 has been honed to perfection.
Despite its small size, the 540Wh battery can cover distance. In testing, we managed 38 miles and a whopping 4,800ft of climbing from the 360Wh version before it gave up!
What's included

Your eBike will arrive with a user manual, keys (where applicable), charger & free follow up service (at our service center) within 3 months of delivery.
This electric bikes includes a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics and 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims via our dedicated support in-house.
E-Bikeshop is a UK Electric Bike Service Center and our in-house workshop is exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We have time to support the eBikes we sell.

We generally keep over 150 eBikes built in our showroom. Note: Some models shown as 'Pre-Order' may not be in the showroom to view as the bike is still due from the supplier. We can also give you the opportunity to ride a similar electric bike so you can get a feel for how electric bikes work prior to purchase.
Should you wish to purchase, we give the option to take it away that same day (subject to stock) with any extras fitted and a handover session on the bike itself by one of our eBike experts.
