The LT M20 takes a massive step forward for 2027, completely rewriting the lightweight enduro rulebook. Orbea has swapped in the new Shimano EP810 motor, delivering a massive 15Nm torque increase (now 100Nm) while shrinking the unit's overall footprint and noise.
The chassis boasts a completely revised carbon layup for enhanced cornering stiffness. Geometry adjustments include a slackened head angle, 160mm forks, and an integrated flip-chip for running a 27.5" rear wheel. The shock kinematics have been totally redesigned to offer vastly improved mid-stroke support and bottom-out resistance, as well as the huge jump to the Fox Factory equipment normally reserved for the M10 and above.
Gravity riders demand the best, and the LT M20 delivers with a big upgrade over the last years model and get the flagship Fox Factory Kashima suspension. Up front, the 160mm fork features the brand-new GRIP X damper, offering incredible high and low-speed compression tuning to handle both high-frequency chatter and massive drop-offs.
Out back, the custom-tuned Float X Factory shock provides 150mm of plush, fade-free travel. Orbea's heavily revised leverage ratio ensures the bike stays high in its travel through berms, yet swallows square-edged hits effortlessly, providing a magic-carpet ride that keeps you fresh on the longest, roughest descents.
Brakes & Gears
Speed is nothing without control, which is why the LT M20 is armed with Shimano's excellent MT620 four-piston brakes. Designed to offer a beautiful balance between initial bite and deep-stroke modulation, these brakes allow you to feather your speed on loose, off-camber sections without accidentally locking the wheels.
Heat management is handled by premium 203mm/180mm Galfer Wave rotors, which slice through mud and dissipate heat rapidly. The ergonomic levers provide powerful one-finger braking, significantly reducing arm pump so you can hold your lines perfectly on relentless downhill tracks.
Shifting under load on an e-MTB requires precision engineering, and the LT M20's upgraded Shimano XT 12-speed setup is built for the abuse. Featuring a massive gear ratio, it ensures you always have a bailout gear for those impossible, technical climbs. The XT derailleur offers remarkably crisp, snappy gear changes, even when the 100Nm motor is surging power through the chain.
Combined with a reinforced cassette designed to withstand high-torque electric assistance, this drivetrain guarantees your momentum will never be interrupted by a sloppy or dropped chain on the trail.
Equipped with powerful Shimano MT620 four-piston hydraulic disc brakes and oversized Galfer Wave rotors (203mm front, 180mm rear) for unparalleled modulation and fade-free stopping power on extreme descents.
Fitted with the premium Shimano XT M8200 SGS Shadow Plus 12-speed derailleur. Its highly tensioned clutch mechanism effectively isolates chain movement, preventing noise and dropped chains on rough trails.
Utilising Shimano M6200 I-Spec EV shifters. They provide a beautifully light, tactile shifting action, allowing you to precisely dictate your gear selection without ever moving your hands from the grips.
Wheels & Tyres
To survive the rigours of enduro racing, the LT M20 rolls on heavy-duty Race Face AR 30c rims. The 30mm internal width ensures modern, aggressive tyres seat perfectly, allowing for lower pressures and vastly improved traction.
While strong enough to withstand rim-outs and square-edged rock strikes, they remain surprisingly light. This low rotational weight is key to the Rise's handling, ensuring the bike accelerates out of corners like a rocket and remains incredibly easy to flick around tight switchbacks, maintaining the agility of an unassisted bike.
Traction is non-negotiable on a 100Nm e-MTB, which is why the LT M20 features a premium Maxxis enduro pairing. The front Maxxis Assegai EXO TR is widely regarded as the ultimate grip tyre, offering predictable cornering in both dust and deep loam.
The rear Maxxis Minion DHR II 3C MaxxTerra Exo+ acts as a paddle, digging deep into the dirt to transfer all 100Nm of motor torque directly into uphill momentum, whilst providing heavy-duty sidewall protection to fend off pinch flats on jagged rock gardens.

Powering the Rise is the newly developed Shimano EP810 motor, running Orbea’s highly intelligent Rider Synergy (RS) Gen 2 firmware.

Delivering incredibly strong support even at lower cadences, the ride sensation mimics having bionic legs instead of riding a heavy, disconnected motorbike. Because it is so exceptionally efficient, you never burn precious battery life just to drag dead weight uphill.
Switch instantly between the battery-saving RS Mode for epic mileage, or engage RS+ Mode to unleash the maximum 100Nm of torque on punishing, technical climbs. The entire system is fully tuneable via the Shimano E-Tube smartphone app.

Orbea electric bikes include a 3yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics and 1yr warranty on the components.
In addition Orbea eBikes benefit from a lifetime frame warranty if you register your bike online with the manufacturer, which is free to do so. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims via our dedicated support in-house.
E-Bikeshop is a Orbea UK eBike Service Center and our in-house workshop is exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We have time to support the eBikes we sell.

We can also give you the opportunity to ride a similar electric bike so you can get a feel for how electric bikes work prior to purchase. It’s important to note we don’t have every single bike, in all sizes, colours and variants etc available for test ride.
Should you wish to purchase, we give the option to take it away that same day (subject to stock) with any extras fitted and a handover session on the bike itself by one of our eBike experts.
